  1. Saw a very nice Corsair Convertible on the back of a transporter this morning, it was white with what looked like minilites, there were a couple of other classics aswell. Was in Widley, Hampshire.
  2. 1986, I bought my first Mk1 Mexico for £800 and sold it as a rolling restoration in 1992 for £450.
  3. Maybe a daft question, but is the seal in the right way round as if not , it will leak even if new?
  4. I lived just down the road in Stubbington and apart from hearing a couple of bins flying around, I slept through it.
  5. Just measeured a couple of Mexico badges I've got knocking around, the pins are between 81-82mm apart, these are original Ford badges. Hope this helps.
  6. Thanks, the braking system was replaced last year, it's probably something very simple but you know what it's like, the longer it stays in the garage off the road the less I'm in a hurry to fix it and sell it. Not a good attitude I know but I just don't want to face selling it.
  7. It's been off the road since September, ther is a brake brake problem that needs sorting out, it's a financial issue so might not have any choice.
  8. Thanks for the replies, I have this horrible feeling that I may have to sell mine soon
  9. I'm basically after a ball park figure for the value of Mk1 Mexico's. I don't want the "whatever anyone is willing to pay" response, just honest opinions. Thanks in advance.
  10. Another take on vista orange.
  11. Saw a couple of Mk1 Cortinas today near Portsmouth, I was in my orange Mex, anyone from here?
  12. Yep, that would have been me. See you on Sunday
  13. A couple of not very good photos from the day.
  14. Very enjoyable, as said before, went from miserable in the morning to very hot in the afternoon. I didn't take any pictures unfortunately, I ended up spending most of my time talking to the owners of various cars that I was interested in and not a lot of time at the OSF stand, which was probably the worst organised stand of the show in terms of parking
  15. Only ever watched five minutes of the first series and that was enough for me. I just can't understand how a programme as dumb as this could make headline news and be the most important event in some peoples lives, glad it's been axed but won't make any difference to my life.
