Cheers antz I think i brought the same set of gutter trims, they were off "East kent trims supplies" and they were CRAP! They were cheap copys of the chrome and they came in a straight line. when i tried to fit them they just kinked bad, mainly on the part by the rear door with the tight bend. Does anyone know if you can get the orginals re-chromed? cheers Ian

Yeah it will but its coming off the road for a month or 2 so i can get all the work done at the same time. The last thing i want to do is do all the paintwork and still not be happy with it at the end of the day. Do you recon it would look odd if you had round headlamps, mex spoiler and quarter with the trims still on?

cheers for comments Steve mk2 i saw ur escort in readers rides beautiful! The quarter bumpers realy do set the car off a treat. Its a very very tidy escort you have there nice one. what other plans you got for it? I got my windows done by a local bloke who came out to my car when i was a at work he's called "Auto tint" and he did a top job. It cost me £120 for all the windows apart from the front windscreen. Which i thought was a good price. The front doors are legal limit and the rear doors and rear screen is the one under limo black which is dark smoke i think. I will be changing the rear bumper to match quarter bumpers but still not sure about the trims.

Basiclly i'm taking the motor of the road at the end of the year to upgrade the engine to a nicely tuned 1700 xflow While i'm at it i'm doing suspenion, brakes and paint work again. I'll be putting on a mex front spoiler, quarter bumpers, round headlamps and possably quad cibies. I'm gonna drop it on a set of polished, gold spoked deepdish minilites but the question is... Should i drop the chome trims down the side and the chrome round the windows black or keep them what do you guys think?

We were lucky here we only had a few small showers. Had time to finish our Miniramp (skateboard half pipe) saturday and sessioned the fook out of it sunday! great weekend

um had abit of trouble with mine. about 7 month ago rebuilt it because the piston rings had gone. the had a little bit of trouble with my condesor then a vavle spring snapped and now i've lost compression again in 1 cylinder so im just slapping another set of rings in it at the moment Just to get me about untill i got enough money to put a 1600 in it with a 5 speed box. But when its running starts every time and i use it everyday. 1300 crossflow I think i need to easy up on the gas just a tad!
