  13. Erm, Matthew, pop over to SE London some time. The councils round here would rather spend money on speedy bumps, traffic lights and "Traffic Calming Measures" Go back a few years to horse & cart days and the roads were in a better condition then. Road Tax is something that I strongly dissagree paying because, it doesn't get spent sorting out the roads. (Well it does, but not on re-surfacing) I live quite near a part of London that they call Charlton. Charlton comes under the bourough of Greenwich, and there isn't one single road in Charlton that doesn't have speed humps. So I have to pay money to have my car f**ked up on a daily basis???? Yes, because it is a so called law. As referring to your comments that these lads may possibly be working nights and having a beer in the afternoon is ridiculous. Drinking at that time of the day isn't something that a normal person would "partake", and in the majority of jobs you should never do under the influence of alcohol anyway. Oh, one last point, before you should say "Why don't you come to Ireland & see our roads", I have family and friends in Ireland and I know what your country/roads are like. I also know that that sort of behaviour from these "Yobs/Chavs" is just not tollerated and is even unheard of in most parts of your country! If you don't believe me, my surname "Lawler" originates from Ireland! Get in there JimBob...love a keyboard scrap

  18. I think that sucks Looney Mum As the law stands , the only copper that can nick you on there own is a bike copper , otherwise as you stated , its his word against yours . I would seriously take legal advice and double check . The other option is to go down the cop shop and put in an official complaint , it means the coppers have to fill bundles of paperwork in , which they fookin hate , and make them aware that you are not going to let this drop and will be prepared to go as far as you legally can to get the fine scrapped .....they plod hate it when you do that , i know from personnal experiance good luck....stick it up the fookers
