  1. I know what your saying but all mine are visible deterrents . Except the dog, she's very verbal lol
  2. Because we live in a very small village with zero crime rate we do get strange cars coming through the village at night, not sure who they are and it's not very often but I've taken no chances with my cortina, I've got a kill switch to prevent it being started,an autolok on the steering wheel, the car is parked on shingle, then it has the wife's Escort and my Transit in front of it, and all of that behind a security bollard, you just can't take chances these days, if the buggers want it they'll get it. Just brought a garage now to park it in which will be alarmed, might even put my German Shepard in there too lol.
  3. I'm looking to upgrade to a weber twin choke on my 1600 xflow, if anyone has a complete ready to go one with manifold please get in touch, cheers, chris.
  4. Superb mate, very very nice.
  5. We're going to try and get to this however not sure how we'll get our young lad and all the camping gear in the car.
  6. its in the car ready to go anyway mate in case anyone there wants it.
  7. Brought a spare alloy for the wife's escort and it came with a brand new 195/50/15 Arrowspeed tyre, it was inflated so not punctured and hasn't yet seen a road, looking for £20 and can take to Bromley tomorrow otherwise located in Bedford.
  8. I'm just off out now to wash the mk3, all loaded though, late dinner and kids put paid to cleaning the car earlier.
  9. what with decent weather predicted it's shaping up to be a great day, not bad considering this time last week there was no club stand, good work mate for pulling it off.
  10. Oh and forgot to say the gazebo fits in the car Colin.
  11. Dan don't despair mate, my mk3 isn't exactly show condition, looks like it's been painted by my 5 year old lad, we were very nervous at cf but needn't have been, our is a work in progress,we've only had it 2 months after a 10 year sleep in a damp garage so you can imagine it's hardly a minter but we didn't get a single negative comment, even had people taking pics of it. Once we got there we felt totally at ease.
  12. shame mate would've been nice to meet you both again.
  13. I've got a pairs of bullet mirrors, 1 hasn't been fitted and the other was on the car 2 weeks but I don't think they suit my car, like brand new £20 Pair of rear lowering springs, uprated 285lbs,cortina mk3, fitted but not driven on as didn't like the look, paid £80 delivered want £40. Can take to Bromley on Sunday or can post at cost.

  16. Many thanks Vista, are you there tonight if so would you be able to see if she would be able to meet me at the gate this evening so I have the pass in the morning as will save a lot of leg ache walking from car park to put lane to car park , not sure my 5 year old lad will thank me for that lol.
  17. Please don't laugh but are there any stand passes left?
  18. I drop the mrs off at jnc 13 at 7 pm for work so will make my way over then, I must warn you the Cortina is a work in progress though lol, looking forward to meeting you all.
  19. I wasn't looking for another car but when one of my customers offered me the mk3 as payment for a job they needed doing I initially agreed purely to help them out and was going to sell it on to pay for the work, agreed to the deal before seeing the car as it was 8 miles away at her sons house, found out it was tax free and had heaps of work done to it before being laid up for 10 years and now keeping it. Even to the point I'm now digging my landscaped front garden up which has cost a few grand so I can build a garage then re-do the garden, it was my wife's idea too which was a bonus. She loves the car as much as me. Plus you just can't beat old skool Fords !!!!!
