  1. I bought one as a replacement but it wasn't the right one, looking for this exact version if anyone has one? Anyone let me know what you have. Thanks
  2. Take it down, I'll have a think.truly no idea what it was worth. £150 sounds reasonable though.
  3. Got one taken off a car, dry stored 25 years in a garage. What's it worth. I have no ideas. Offers??
  4. Oldpartstore.net?
  5. Hi, Cosworth Lattice but didn't come with nuts and the originals look too short. It's fine, I'll try and buy some but not measured yet, 47mm or 63mm long seem to be the choices. Did you ever purchase new radiator and heater hose replacements? Does anyone sell coloured sets or is it just black? Looked on EBay and online but drawn a blank. Getting really frustrated at the minute, it all seems to be taking so long!! Ta Richard
  6. What size were the nuts?? I need to buy some originals are too short! Can you remember?
  7. What size were the nuts?? I need to buy some originals are too short! Can you remember?
  8. Next year........when my MKV Cortinas finished!
  9. Where did you source the chrome trim from? Did you do around the top and sides of the doors on the rain gutters? I've looked everywhere and only found one place but it's not the exact replica and no corners. Any help or advice welcomed! Lovely motors.....I'm just in the middle of a restoration myself. Not too much longer hopefully!
  10. Ok, so I've been very lucky so far and managed to source all the parts I needed (many original Ford) but there's a few elusive bits I'm struggling with.........check your garages and sheds folks! New front bumper (Chrome not black) Rear bumper - plastic corners and bump strip Front grille with spot lights Chrome trim for gutter Boot liner for back of rear seats New Front Headlamps and indicators (each side) New Radiator (Ford to fit 1600) Any knocking around let me know.
  11. A bit newer but the Toyota T-sport Compressor is a hoot to drive. I had the predecessor Corolla Gti 16v many years ago, wish I still had it. Best quick car I ever owned, handling was superb (Only beaten by my Alfa 146ti which I'm ashamed to say went to the government scrappage scheme, I beat myself up each day for that decision the Momo leather interior was superb and possibly worth the scrappage price alone in parts sales!)
  12. Try Wensleytransport.com local to me but collect and deliver all over UK and overseas I understand.
  13. Difficult decision that, but reading this thread surely there'd be a shortage of cheap tarmaccing, driveway paving and tree cutting services across the UK then? (Apologies to all the legitimate businesses out there!)
  14. He listed it earlier in the thread! I was just pricing up the bulk of it. £400....damn it, need a part-time job!
  15. Wow just looked at the prices of Powerflex almost £300 for a full set, they better make the car handle and feel better for that price!
  16. Cheers. I'll try and order some then as the cars coming back in the next few weeks from the welder and it's the next big job.
  17. Me too there's plenty of them passing through regularly.........it's normally blocked in by his daily driver! I'd love to know what he plans to do with it but it's sat there looking sad and lonely. If I win lottery I'll be straight round knocking on the door.
  18. I don't suppose you have the other bits? I had to chop ours off as it was locked tight.....the very curvy section. Any chance?
  19. Paul - Can you recall which you put where? I have looked at both but a list would be really helpful and save me lots of time! Thank for your input and advice......last time it came out in the road in 1997 I couldn't believe how poor it drove compared to a 'modern' car. It certainly needs some help!
  20. Interesting debate! I've yet to purchase for the MkV but Powerflex appears the choice.....do it once is my motto too. Do I do everything or just some elements....is it too firm if the whole cars done? Where's cheapest for Powerflex and do they do a whole kit or is it individual item purchase for a MkV Cortina? Need to order soon as cars back in a few weeks from welders. Ta Richard
  21. I owned a Smart car diesel a few years back, ran on fumes. Used to do 160 mile round trip on less than a fiver and was free road tax.....sold it when our second kid arrived......looked a bit odd 19st of idiot in not much mote than a dinky toy but didn't care.....it was cheaper than a bus to work! Welcome to OSF.
  22. There's an Bubble Arch Escort sat on a driveway round the corner from my house, it's been there easily 7 years and never moved, waiting to be rescued........crying shame!
  23. I found a load of MkV Cortina gear a few weeks ago in the garage I forgot I had. Crusader bits, window set, winder mechanism, boot spoiler, quarter windows, wing mirrors etc ...nearly skipped it all but thought better of it. Going to clean it all off and eBay it.
