For me the 68 fastback is probably the sexiest sleek thing Ford ever built ! didn,t need any Eleanor bodykit (gone in 60 seconds) the thing just Rocks ! Fuel vapourisation for sure...if its any consolation even the concours cars have been known to conk out...I don,t think they anticipated the M25/M1 traffic back in the 60s ! make sure you have that block is in place (best to get the modern weber part (doesn,t swell up and buckle the carb baseplate) and if you want upgrade your cooling as well , I found replacing the old aeroplane prop two blade metal fan blade for a multiblade plastic fan helped...!
