  1. Stu, whats this one?? Shape reminds me of a Gran Torino, I like it
  2. my dad had several cavaliers, always thought they were nice looking cars but you are right, i haven't seen one on the road for years (had a look on ebay a few times though). first car i ever bought was a fiat 126, i loved that little thing but very glad i never crashed it too badly! and it used to drink about as much oil as it did petrol i always fancied getting a bedford rascal van, nice wheels, lowered, massive sound system in the back - don't know why i'm just weird my metro (brown 4 door 1.3 city x with cream interior i'll have you know) ended up stolen, crashed and in the middle of a field in northfleet with every window smashed, an axe embedded in the windscreen, amp and speakers ripped out and all my favourite techno tapes trampled ;-( so metro's have left their mark on both of us - i'm scarred emotionally Did you find that whenever you drove the metro near a puddle, It cutout?? we had 2 and both did this, once while my mum was driving right in the middle of this HUGE puddle
  3. happy birthday Tom, have a good one
  4. I'd deffo go with black mate if it was my car , my mate with a mk1 fiesta had done his blue to match his car, but all the underneath is blue so it all ties in.
  5. Just thought of some more: Morris Ital Van ( old mate of my dads had one that had a tuned MGB 1800 engine in ) HB Viva, landrover lightweight, mk1 RX7 and for any back to the future fans: early Toyota Hi-lux ( i think they're very cool )
  6. My brother's 6'8" & drove around in a clubman GT for a ages with no problems I looked at a mini 30, equinox and had a go in a cooper, with the seat all way back ( which I still have to do in my barge of a M0NDE0 ST220 ) my knee's were wedged under steering wheel Saying that tho, I'd still love to restore some mini's, MK1 cooper-s, a pickup, van and like your bro's, a clubman 1275GT , there's a mini specialist close to myself, but would'nt touch anything they sell/restore
  7. Yep, thats the one I mean , A old school friend of mine says he's got an old genuine BTCC version ( he's known for majorly over exaggerating what cars he's got, eg: a mini with a v-tec turbo engine, turned out just to have a mg metro turbo unit in it )
  8. Here's afew i'll admit to: Mini's, mainly the Van and "woodie" versions ( been 6'3FT the normal mini is abit of a tight fit ) Rover SD1 vitesse, Lotus Sunbeam ( the original hot hatch ), Chevette, mk1 cavalier, theres bound to be more
  9. I think value of MK3 capri's has rocketed, when I bout my 2L Laser in 2006 in nice useable nick ( some dents, rust ) it cost me £630 with around 3 months T&T on it. Last month a guy near me flogged one for roughly same amount and NO panel on it was any good and the chassis was rotten I've seen some in the same condition as mine going for close to £1900, it's been said that " live on mars " made alot of OSF's popular again.
  10. Yeah, there was 2 MK1 fiesta's, a MK2 escort, a MK2 transit, a mk3 cortina P100 and a MK3 capri. Shame that RS200 was a fake tho ( subaru impreza )
  11. I've got MK2 granada 2.8i calipers on my capri mate, they're a bigger version of the M16 caliper, has a larger pad surface area, so more stopping power. Works a treat, even stopping the 5.0L V8 in my capper
  12. I believe by law it's meant to be in a sealed box mate, i've got mine in the boot of my capri, housed in a modified MK3 M0NDEO battery box. MOT station said it was fine like that
  13. there will be an escort with this transplant hitting the streets this summer from Reading with over 300hp I'm suprised theres not more about with this engine, it's a good unit ( only downside is they dont work very well with a atmoshperic dump valve fitted ) A friend of mine had a FRS, had de-cat, milltek exhaust, gen 2 K&N and a bluefin program, 285BHP, easy stuff , another guy I know of is running one with over 500BHP
  14. No problem mate, be good to see one of these in a OSF
  15. Has anyone thought of the MK1 Focus RS engine for a transplant before?? 2.0L Turbo, 212BHP, easliy tuned upto 285BHP I think alot of people get put off it I believe because it says "Duratec" on the rocker cover, BUT it is infact a ZETEC-E. Maybe someone on a tight budget, but after turbo power could consider one of those ( seen a couple on ebay before for £600 mark ) Just a thought chaps.
  16. Done a check with the DVLA: The enquiry is complete The vehicle details for BXG 125K are: Date of Liability 01 02 1987 Date of First Registration 10 12 1971 Year of Manufacture Not Available Cylinder Capacity (cc) 1593CC CO2 Emissions Not Available Fuel Type Petrol Export Marker Not Applicable Vehicle Status Unlicensed Vehicle Colour GREEN Been over 22 years since it was on the road, so i'd more than likely say it has been scrapped i'm afraid
  17. Happy Birthday Rog, hope you've had a good day

Got my copy last nite after packing my mate off to sainsburys for it, £26 CAA-CHING Only Managed 30 mins on it upto now, got upto LV9 on online mode, which aint bad I thought as I aint used my PS3 for last 6 months
  20. I've seen it a few times but many years ago, the only info I can really give is that it's meant to be set in an american high school or college and it involves a race between a porsche ( 911 I believe ) and some big busted Yank converible ( possibly a Ford galaxie ) the team with the yank car fit a bus engine in it and either a turbo or a NOS system. I have a feeling Michael J Fox was in it, but not sure Does anyone have any ideas, it's been bugging me for last 3 days
  21. Anybody know whats happened to the Capri at all?? Just been nosey thats all, steve
  22. Any chance someone could Photoshop some 16x8" escos alloys on my capri please?? Best side view piccie i've got i'm afraid. cheers, steve
  23. It's a 2023, followed that link and it now says it's region is set to 9, will that be multi region?
  24. Basically as it states guys, Got a Bush DVD player and would like it to be multi-region. Anyone in the know?? Steve
  25. I can honestly say, I thought the end result was rather nice, rear end reminded me of Zakspeed racers. Just ashame they wasted time with the RV8, deciding to build it properly the second time round. Did anyone else notice that the NS rear quanter had been flatted down ( as tho they'd scratched it ) when they were putting it on the trailer??
