*** UPDATE ***
Arrived 2 hours after timeslot. Took photo of car and dash clocks, one of the vin and one of the chassis number on strut. Closed the bonnet and said.... All done. Had to ask him if he wanted a picture of the engine number as original engine wasn't in it but on the floor next to it. Nope we don't need engine numbers, nor are we allowed to touch or remove anything from the car or look underneath??. Asked me if it was original axle, drivetrain and suspension. Of course it was going to be a yes!!!. Now not saying I'm not happy that I will finally get my v5 but if this is the inspection that they do, there really is no point. The bloke told me they are contractors and are paid £35 a car including travel time and fuel, no wonder they don't want to hang around. Still the good news for me is it's only a week away from being on the road, might even make the summer festival.
