Have we got any instructions for this? Where in the marina, what time to be there from, how you want the cars to be parked etc?

I'll help, just tell me where and when I used to do marshalling at the bexhill 100 when it was on.

I did that and someone reported it to the garage assistant saying I had stolen petrol the guy knows me and said "nah, he always leaves like that." Quailty.

It was his ex wife not his current one but still bad thing to happen. The problem with kev is its too easy for him to lie and he cannot budget his time correctly he starts a job then get side tracked onto something else. Whilst my car has been up there he has had a yellow porsche with a V8 conversion that keeps coming back, the bmw and a cobra that kept getting worked on in front of mine. -
two holes line up and 2dont....even if i put 2bolts in it, its just gonna vibrate itself off. If your'e still having problems I will pop round and have a look. What does it go between? I wonder if one of my old ones could be caniblised to fit.

Blimey..... I've got some of those sitting around somewhere but I think they are silver and gold.
-
Your'e not wrong about this not happening today, if you tried to flag someone down they would probably think you are going to hi-jack them and tear off and if they did stop and you asked them if you could have their differential they would either kick you in the balls and roar off or stand there going "Whats a differential?" cause lets face it most people who drive new cars are mechanical morons.
-
Ask if you can do it on a trial basis. I'm sure there is a basic criteria that the course has to follow and most of the stuff is learnt by doing or from hand outs so it shouldn't be to difficult. You will only kick yourself later on if you don't try.

I have just rang the land lord and hes says he and th other owner will be going up there in the next few days and will let me know when they speak to him. I have paid up front expecting to have it done by now and he was supposed to mot and tax the vehicle before giving it back once the work was done so he has the V5 in an envelope all in all a bit of a cock up on my part just proving that you can't rely on anyone. -

The owner of the workshops has no keys to the individual units the renters can change the locks as often as they want. But some of the guys offered me an angle grinder to take out the hinges but need a trailer and something to pull it with it get it home. -

Well thats a relief ay least but the other thing is that I now don't think I willl be able to go to the l2b run this weekend. -
Last week I spoke to the guy who is doing the engine rebuild on my capri and he said it had been out for a test drive which had thrown up a few problems but it will be ready for the 19th. Took wed, thurs, friday afternoons off to go up there and help him got up there only to find he wasn't there so I rang his mobile and it was turned off, texted him and heard nothing the then speaking to the guys opposite his workshop they tell me he is dodging debt collectors he has had several letters from people threatening to sue for work that wasn't done and to top it off my car hasn't left the workshop and when they saw it it didn't even have the engine in it. So now what do I do my car is locked in his workshop with the possibility of being seized by the bayliffs for levy against his debts.

Where I work we have the old push against the rim type and the laser over tyre type but we are in sussex so quite a way to go. Some of the bodyshops keep the tracking equipment so it might be worth asking them or maybe a HiQ type of place and just request they use the older guages.

I always speak to crunch in the parts and have never found any problems. Hope you get it sorted, glad to be of use.

As I work in a main dealer for Peugeot we have tie ins with other dealers I have just called my local dealer and explained the situation and have been advised that tax is from date first registered as we all know, HOWEVER, they have said that if the DVLA have stated that if you have proof that the vehicle was built before that they will change it the guy I spoke to said its got to be worth a try he gave me the name of the person in his dealership to talk to so give them a ring. Doris at Brichwood Ford on 01323 414400. Hope this helps and good luck.
