  1. My sons car is sitting here. Needs paint and upholstery and some rust work done. Mechanically great. Zetec with Type 9, Anglia back end with panhard, disc brakes, Capri front hubs/brakes/uprights with adjustable 2 1/4" coilover struts. Cheers, Rod.
  2. I've got for sale four of the type2 boxes with the steel change rod tube £40 each, and three with the 1600 type cast ali change rod tube £75. All of these have to go, so I'm open to reasonable offers, and can do multiples on a pallet. PM me if interested. Cheers, Rod.

    Back in the day

Maybe they need individual enclosed urinals/wankatoriums, just for this problem???
  4. And the frightening bit is that there probably was no seat belt in that car, and those old tyres were not exactly built for speed. All the driver had for protection was a leather flying helmet and goggles, maybe!
  5. Had a hot 2.1 in a kit years ago. High compression and ported head and lightened. Running on twin 45 webers and tuned by Tom Airey, it made 165hp at the wheels, and cruised on the motorway getting 30+mpg, pushing a longish Mk1 Granny back end. A better engine option would be a Zetec, running on an early ecu and ignition. More power and lighter, and Type 9 bolt pattern. 9" Ford with a pInto would not be a weight saving option, but does give the option of many gear ratios. The Sierra Cosworth 9" diff came from a yank production car, can't remember which though.
  6. There's still many of these left in Aus and NZ, and some at bargain prices compared to UK.
  7. Putting your foot on the brake, and pulling the handbrake on and off several times until the adjustment comes up should see things working properly. It may take a bit more than you expect though. Cheers, Rod.
  8. Hello All, I'm a Ford man since my youth, so many years ago in Aus. First car was a 1956 100e, much modified eventually to have a 1600 crossflow and Escort front struts and Elan back end. Other car was a 1960 F100, to tow the ski boat which had a 302 installed! Cheers, Rod.
  9. Hello, I have 2 sets of RS wheels, refurbished in good condition. Cheers, Rod.
