possibly, the previous owner had a couple extra screws to hold them in place but these were left. think I will just blank them off. Cheers for your input

Away from the cage and stuff for a minute, I notice on my rear door cards I have two holes, one on top of the other about 100mm apart, are these for grab handles or something, the ash trays are missing was just going to blank them off anyways.

Thanks guys, kind of thought that, Problem was when I went to purchase a MK2 I had it in my head to make it look like a race car although it was not going on a track, A few people who have seen the car had told me not not to cut the arches and drill holes because the car is solid. I kind of agree, Maybe when I have finished this wee project I might buy something that needs a bit more work and get my rally car look......... Been looking at the cost of tuning, got a quotation from vulcan, might spend my money on this Thanks guys

I have a decision to make, Do I fit the 6 point roll cage, Bucket seats and harnesses into my car. I love the look but still cant make my mind up about originallity. The original seats are in good nick as is the rest of the interior, I do like the kind of rally look but not sure wether this will spoil it for the purists. Any thoughts guys......

Hi guys, just a few pics of my car as promised, as I said trying to get it finished by spring time, Need to order new glass pack and some interior mods, main thing I suppose is the engine tuning which I am thinking about just now. I lowered it 2 inch a few weeks ago and fitted new wheels with yokohama tyres. keep you posted, may need some advise on tuning, in the building game so mechanics im a bit limited. All the best

Hi guys, good to be here Just a quick post regarding my MK2 Escort, pics to follow. 1600 sport in white, had it since April, looks like one of the good ones, Glass was badly letting the car down so I have removed it, paintwork is great and so is the interior. Removed seats and dash at present, Was very lucky to obtain a genuine rear spoiler from a friend of mine in Shetland. Hoping to have the car ready for next summer, fingers crossed. Will post pics soon Gary
