Did the mexico ever use the Springalex with rectangular holes?

Now my k reg may 72 plate has plain lotus cortina steel style wheels not the rs type is that unusual it is very basic trim wise and i wonder if it was built out of an old stock twin cam shell ive owned it since 1975 so its not been fiddled with at least if it was it must have occurred earlier on??

Im trying to put my mk1 mexico back to original rear drums i.e. 9 inch anybody know or a source of backing plate assemblys?

Need Mk1 Escort rear seat complete frame work not too fussed about condition as its to modify to fit around roll bar

I have 2 old skool Fords both now being rebuilt the star is the MK1 RS2000. We were the 2nd owners and although now needing tlc after 30 years in the garage it is very original and as a family put100k miles on the clock. Second is a 72 mk1 mexico that is also coming along but has needed tremendous amount of work but is near to the paint shop stage. I bought in 1976 so may have been 2nd owner but not sure. My daily drive a defender I am a farmer and a 57 plate 1.6 diesel fiesta.
