anyone know what this gearbox is off......found in the garage ,been their about 40 yrs....my father has only ever stripped 1 cortina in the past but it don't match up to pre xflow block any ideas

arnt the warranty with another co that covers warranty's like currys with mastercare or the manufacture of the item...so its still covered

only having to fix damage from some scrogs who decided to have a punch up next to it......and then few months later a roof tile landing on the roof

buy a stainless steel one......simples...no flaky flaky

its held in to a upside down U bracket thats welded just above then handle......and the handle is held in with a pin

find a old gearbox and chop the end off..........perfect alignment tool

did you get it done at spl by any chance? their pricing a bit vauge on their site...what was the total £ to do both things on your motor scott..assuming it was with spl

welcome to osf.....if i recall correctly from a post long ago in the past one of the wires needed to be jumped over on the round connector or extra one added as the 2 dash version does not have the rev counter feed...i may be completely wrong.......or get the volt meter out.......good luck

i believe 3rd one is for the foot wiper switch 4th one is a aux + supply from ignition

i got one as well....bit to much plastic for me but its quick and easy to have fun in it if its your middle instrument cluster that does not illuminate....pull the top glove box off...few clips top and bottom inside,its tight but it does come out with a bit of wiggle and unplug the unit behind that and replug....had same issues with mine would work then wouldnt....been fine since
