I only want this one because i want to get it done properly and have a nice low mileage head rather than a 1600/1300GT one i don't know anything about I did'nt know a 1600 head could be put onto a 1300 block will that be as good as getting the 1300 head worked on professionally or not?

How much very roughly would i be looking at to get a 1300 crossflow head ported & polished,skimmed,bigger valves & better valve springs etc all done professionally? Also can i have these mods done to the head and still be able to use the standard 1300 block without any problems

The Autoglass bloke came today and fitted it and then when it had gone i noticed that there was a scratch on the screen he had just fitted and also he mangled up the chrome insert getting it back in So i rang them up and i now have to wait for a call and they will arrange to come and assess it and then once thats done another screen and new chrome trim can be fitted So i aint having the best luck at all at the moment

Basically what i mean is will the wheels sit further in than the rear arch lip or will they catch on bumps etc Thanks for all the info so far.

So will the wheels sit further in than the arches at the back so they will clear them?

Yes the RS 4 spokes as fitted to the MK1 RS2000's etc Will they foul the rear arch over bumps etc

As above really guys will they fit? They are the type that take the cone shaped wheel nut. Its a 1972 MK1 Escort 4 door 1100L (all standard) Any help would be great

We thought it was a gunshot to It was so loud when it went And i know all about finding glass my rear quarter was broken when i first got me escort and every time i hover it out i find it everywhere so i know what ive got to look forward to

It seriously scared the crap out of me and my mate Theres no way im putting in the spare toughened screen ive got and i would definitely advise anyone with a toughened windscreen to put a laminated one in.As said it really could have been alot worse and im just glad it was'nt Autoglass are coming on Tuesday to fit the new windscreen in all i will have to pay is the excess on my insurance which is 50 quid Also the AA recovery guy that came out to me was well into his oldskoolfords and he had had quite a few capri's and escorts etc when he was younger

I was going towards dartford this evening at about 10pm and a stone must of flown up and hit my windscreen i was on a dual carriageway doing about 50mph and all of the glass flew in and went all over me and my mate.luckily there was a garage literally 100yards down the road so we went into it and i called the AA and had to be towed home Now i have to wait until tuesday next week for them to come and fit a new windscreen in which will be a laminated one

He is right i had the same fault on my escort and that was the indicator stalk

I ordered one yesterday it will either be here today or tomorrow as its got to come from QH directly but i ordered 2 one as a spare So im getting lifts off of mates to and from college at the moment in some modern junk

All i can say is they look like the 1600 crossflow ones with them cut outs in them and the measurements are as above i cant get a picture as i havent got them

They are 80.985mm and +40" all i know is that they are for a ford can anyone tell me what engine they will fit though i am pretty sure their crossflow any help would be really appreciated. Thanks
