Ive tried every spares shop within about a 10 mile radius and none of them could get it today which is when i really needed it I am going to get my Dad to order 2 of them tomorrow (one to fit and one as a spare).The place he uses can get it the same day on weekdays so it will be here for me to fit when i get home It just chose the wrong time to go

Last try otherwise i will have to go without the car tomorrow and fit the new cable when im home

If anyones got one in the S.E London area i would really appreciate it and i will sort you out a good drink for it

As above really was going to pick up my brother from a party and it snapped half way there so i tried to drive it home on the gears starting in first with the engine off and going through the gears and bringing up the revs slowly which very almost got me home but the battery ran dead about 1/2 mile from my house. So my Dad had to come down and booster pack it and we let it run at 2000rpm for a bit to charge and the switched it off and i managed to get it going the same way and get it home.But the thing that is the most annoying is the clutch cable was brand new about 8 months ago I need to use the car tomorrow so i am now pretty desperate for a clutch cable so if anyone in the S.E London area could help me out if they have a spare on knocking around that would be really helpful I will sort you out a good drink for it

I had the same problem and i earthed the relay seperately and it was fine the cause of this is the front or rear indicators on the side that doesnt work not being earth through the body work properly

Ah right so can i buy a standard MK1 Escort Sport Exhaust and get it to fit onto that manifold?

I have fitted a 4 branch manifold and a 2 inch ashley exhaust with a single silencer to my MK1 Escort which i am finding very loud and its giving me a headache Is there anyway i can just fit a standard MK1 Escort Sport Exhaust on and will it fit onto the manifold i already have? Also does anyone know the exact bore of a standard MK1 Escort Sport exhaust? Any help will be really appreciated

Do my brakes on the escort (drums off clean and adjust) and take back my old steering rack to the parts shop for the refund and also get hold of some very large exhaust rubber hoops to mount my new ashley exhaust in the middle

My Car is a 1972 MK1 Escort 1100L and very original only 40,000 from new and 3 owners including me but for some reason it has a 3.77 Diff and a single piece prop which doesn't add up I know the diff was an optional extra but as for the prop i wasnt aware they were fitted to the 1100's from new Does anyone else know if thats original or has that been added by someone?

Ah thats good then so if i wanna put a 1600 in i dont need to change the diff is that right Also no i dont wanna swap mate as i might put a 1600 in there.
