  1. I really can't belive what i'm reading. If you've got an osf sat on the drive or in your garage chances are the local scum knew it was there befor they looked for pictures on the internet. Do you make sure that no one follows you home after a drive or wait till the street is empty till you open the garage door. All these people that bleet on abouy privacy do you refuse to look at show pictuers in classic ford? And do you think that in the features that the owners of the cars should not be named just in case a car thief looks up their address on the internet.
  2. Used to run arround in a model A pickup as a daily it cost me less to run and insure than my 95 escort (i know fuel is more expensive now). Price wise it depends on what you want you could buy a pete n jakes chassis for $700, or you could get one from tci for about $400 it will do the same job and look the same but some of the glory boys will turn their noses up at it but stuff em. If your building a hot rod to have fun driving it about £7000 is about right, the pickup sold for £4000. A show winning rod will cost whatever is in the bank.
  3. Yank V8 if you want cheap power you cann't go wrong really. Personally i'd have a 350 chevy not a fan of the 302 it's pysically larger than the chevy and heavyer and not as powerful. If you ge tan automake sure it has a shift kit fitted.
  4. If you mean sit up and beg type there are more than you would think check out the outlaw anglia website.

    New car

Seat leon turbo DEIsel i know what your thinking but get one chipped and they will piss on the cupra and are cheap to run not as good on the twisty stuff as the engine is heavy. Don't know what the insurance is like only took one for a test drive and the wife said it was too fast for her so she bought a 4x4 and she drives that like its stolen!
  6. Did do other stuff in london as well delivered a load of shop fittings to a dixons once had to park on the road across four parking meters i was really popular that day!!!!!
  7. Used to deliver to the Chelsea flower show in an artic with a fork lift hanging off the back of the trailer and i've got to say i used to love it.
  8. I'd go with a rover v8 had one in a mk11 cortina weight is about the same as a pinto plenty of power as standard and with a well setup carb it will cost about the same to run as a pinto on 45's . If you really want lots of lazy power try a small block chevy cheaper to buy and get bits for tham the rover and its actually smaller. You can't beat the sound of a v8!!
  9. I had 17s on my old tina and it looked great but its got to be low!!!!
  10. Its not like rust paint in a can there are ways of doing it but when you get up close you can see its fake. A hot rod builder in bristol used to bond bits of rusty metal into 'glass doors on rods to make them look older.
  11. As someone who once a daily driven rat look model A pick up i suppose i am biased but if done right there is nothing better. Some builders spend more on making a car ratty than if it was some shiny trailer queen.
  12. Just listed loads of stuff on ebay, If anyone is interested you can contact me through here instead of ebay. This is the item number for one of the listings and they are all linked to it. 120117480686 [/url]
  13. Driving it was scary too it was lik a go kart to drive you could get it round an island at cazy speeds but other people would be looking so much that it nearly cauesed a few accidents, one guy rolled into it when he got out of his car to take a picture and forgot to put his hand brake on!!!!
  14. just to let you know the pickup is an A. Model B's are more rounded on the back of the cab and the grill shell is different. It was a difficult decision but it was probably the most uncomfortabe car in the world. It had been lowered that much on the front it was sat on the bumpstops!!! and the front cross member was so near to the ground it would catch on cats eyes!
  15. just thought i'd put some pics up on the site. The pickup has now been sold and been replaced with the cortina (must be getting old i need a heater and a bit of comfort these days!) The pop on the trailer is sat in the garage, waiting for the money to start buying bits! It was taken off the road in 1976 and stripped and it sat in a garage till i bought it (didn't please the girl frend at the time the money came out the wedding fund!) Hope you enjoy the pictures.
