I had a R19 16V chamade, about 10 years ago. It cost 3 Grand. It cost another 4 grand in garage bills over the next year. May have just been bad luck, but id never take the risk again. Went like a bastard though!

Whilst the old girl will never make big power, I certainly wouldnt want to restrict what it has got.... Could someone explain the differences and characteristics between 4-1 and 4-2-1 for a Pinto? I see alot of strip cars with 4-1. so assume 4-2-1 is a more suitable road application?

Well Shane, youve obviously sat down and thought about your future, not many people your age do, so top respect for that. My Father and Grandfather wer mechanics, they did everything they could to steer me away from it.... and just keep it as a hobby. However, some people on here have turned their hobby into an enjoyable and profitable outfit, so its just what you make it really..... lots of hard work. Im glad I never went into it, as even as a hobby it stresses me out and as a result just dont think I could do it as a career! Personally, I think bodyshops are the better option, they can make serious money, but if its happiness your after, just stay out of debt and take each day as it comes! Good luck in any path you take young man.

tricky one that, the whole county would be far too general but a single smallish town might be too restrictive having said that drivebordon is short, easy to remember and does the job nicely. when you branch out and get loads of other instructors working for you they could have say, driveliphook or driveliss as theirs Flash Bordon............ or, Bordon Bennett!
