I have established a limited supply of these Mk1 estae shells. They are built in resin by a guy who adapted a saloon die cast shell with an increadible amont of work. I havent seen one at first hand but from the pics and a detailed email, the guy is mustard. THEY WILL NOT BE CHEAP..... possibly around the £40 mark just for the shell, which will then need donor parts from the saloon. I am also in talks with him to reproduce a Mk2 shell when we can suss out possible copyright issues. Please leave a note should you be interested.

Decided to go 60s track slag.....! First job is to get the axles sprung, using vanguards Mk2 tina spring rods and a drill bit package cover pop-rivited to the chassis plate. Then using 70s Formula 1 rims on cut Hot Wheels Tyres. Couldnt decide on a theme and had a tin of Olympic Blue hanging around, so that kind of suited a Gulf theme. Transfers from the 1/24 Rally Escort and original 60's scalextric accessory packs. Just got to finish the cage and sling it back together.

only seen the 1/24 rally mk 2... and as you have said the Airfix 1/32 Mk1.
