  1. Right im going to stick my two cents in now. I love cars, engines, twin carbs and turbos. I get really hacked off with all this talk of " there was plastic crap at the show blah blah blah " I reminds me of bloody school mine`s better than yours and all that. Ive had a few old fords mainly capri`s. Ive just restored my 85 2.8i special and love it. Now ive purchased an 82 escort rs1600i. Now before all you old skoolers jump down my throat at the near mention of a mk3 escort, let me point out the escort is older than my capri, it is a classic and there is no more plastic on the escort than on my capri. Now if the so called trully hardcore oldskoolers live by there word then prehaps they should pull out there nice new zetec or cosworth engines and there modern brakes and suspension seeing as they are ` hard core oldskoolers`. Most clubs and shows die because they start excluding certain makes and models. You end up with mk1 capri pre facelift show with about 3 people attending. Anyway I love my old fords and I will gladley have a and chat with anyone who dissagrees. Cheers guys.
  2. Cheers all, ive made a note on my calendar definatley wont miss this one.
  3. hi all Last year in classic ford I read an article on the Brighton Speed Trials which looked awsome. I dont want to miss it this year so does anyone know when its on this year, cheers Clive.
  4. Fecking tinker lol, It makes me want to go and give people like him a good kicking. Nearly happend to me once, you just cant trust anyone. Feel for you budy.
  5. Well done sir....
  6. Good on ya chris, welcome to the V club mate
  7. Excellent
  8. Is my mk2 2ltr pinto a muscle car????????
  9. I cant help you in hartlepool mate but I was after a good welder to do a few patches, In the end I bought myself a good mig welder for around £200 and went to night class for a few weeks to learn how to weld. I ended up saving myself over £2000 in welding fees by doing a full resto on my 2.8i. Once you have the kit and knoledge you can do shed loads of work yourself. Plus you know its done properly. Hope this helps mate.
  10. I havent made it to an ace meet yet as im restoring my 2.8i, but im gagging to go, so im going in my buds xr2, do you have to register your name somewhere or just turn up ?
  11. Me and my buddy boycie will definatley go, but both my capris are being worked on as we speak so will have to turn up in my buds mk2 xr2 if thats acceptable, he does have a mk1 capri hes restoring so were are worthy to attend im sure, lets get in on
  12. Its like its been printed twice, imagine beeing realy pissed and trying to read, about half the mag is printed like it. Dont want to make deal out of it I just thought you would like to know incase it happens again. Still a great mag and I can just read it if I focus really hard.
  13. Hi guys Ive been reading your mag for the last 8 years and I realy enjoy it. Ive just picked up the febuary issue and thought I had seriously over done it last night on the booze as some of the pages had some real bad printing, looked like I was seeing double. Not sure if anyone else has already mentioned this, so appologise if they have. Just thought you should know. Cheers
  14. Firstly I love the mag and really enjoy reading it, but when I checked out the 2007 calendar and found 4 mk1 escorts and not a single capri of any sort I was pretty upset. Yeah I know its only a calender but when you look at all the great capris that have been featured I cant believe none of them made it in. Why all the escorts guys ? lets have a bit of vairety next time. Still a great mag though
  15. thankyou thankyou thankyou, and once again thankyou.
