I drove past brantwood auto recyclers today in tottenham,and spotted in there racks a 2 door mk1 escort (olympic blue) 2 x anglias (both in spruce green) and a 2 door mk2 escort (venetian red)..if anyones interested in a resto projects they all looked worth saving and pretty much complete.... didnt get chance to have a good look,but if i pass there again ..ill stop... kev

yes !! ive found out this aswell since i started the thread !!! the last event in september was chaos,and there was huge traffic problems within that area most of the day..the police was involved aswell as there was a few minor accidents outside & loads of over heated classics.. all in all though,it is a great show,but has outgrown the venue now..i was taking my rs2 but wont be now as its not booked in and to late now..i guess this will be the case for many people.. glad they,ve pulled the plug on cars built after 1980,as there was the subaru,mr2 clubs etc coming in (sorry in my eyes these aint classis cars) lets see what happens next week,and yes im sure your question will be asked many times at the gate !!!

just to let everyone know that its the first classic car show of the year at battlebridge essex next weekend (10th may).. normally a good show this,plenty of old fords and many other makes and car clubs attend these shows,with a big auto jumble.... would advise anyone who wants to go (get there early) as it gets rammed out...it officially opens at 10am to 5pm...but you can normally get in before that.... its a £5 to get in... kev.

nice little turn out and a good selection of cars aswell ,im abit gutted i missed it now,but will be there next month for sure (with or without car). roll on march and bring on the summer !!!

the annual battlesbridge classic ford show is on sunday 17th august this year,i think its about £5 to get in. normally a good show,with every class of classic fords well represented. also auto jumble etc.so its defentally worth atleast a couple of hours to wander round. opens at 10 till 5 (i think !) location.battlesbridge village essex off a130 near wickford/sth woodham turning. show located behind battlebridge antique centre,and theres loads of parking on site.normally well signposted. "if your not doing anything ! this one is well worth a trip out "

if anyone in the essex area is at a loose end this weekend,there is the 2nd annual essex classic car show being held at barleylands farm london road off a129 between billericay and wickford. it probly about 10minutes from jct 29 m25 (a127 southend bound) follow signs for barleylands. its not a bad little show,but sunday is the best day to go,last year lacked old school fords,so im taking my rs2 this year.and would appriciate some company.. i believe its £6.50 to get in,but that allows you access to the farm museam,craft village etc if you wanted to bring the family. hope to see some of you boyz there

yep count me in,might be carless for the 1st meet,as rs off road at present.but will come along all the same. 1st sunday the cobra replica club and turbosport boys attend,so carpark does get abit packed from time to time ! but theres always something of interest in the car park to look at.

well the interest is certainly there for a essex gathering !!! so who,s going to take the plunge and offer to be the main man/lady !! im up for taking the rs2 when it kicks off.

i certainly think the interest is there for a essex meet,and i know theres plenty of osf in essex,i still go to the turbosport meet on the 1st sunday of each month,and very often classic fords appear for a drive out,its just got to that stage where we need someone enthusiastic enough to take on the position of running it.either with another club meet or on our own. as i say id certainly go,but i wont take on the position again of trying to run/organise it.!!! sorry.

rob the essex meet died after only 2 meets,5 turned up 1st time,and 1 the next,so wasnt worth it carrying on. turbosport are at the halfway house on the 1st sunday of each month,and you often get quite afew oldskool fords turn up to this, id love someone to reserect a regular osf essex meet.id go. kev

retro ford magazine is fantastic,plenty of great photos and articles of our loved o/s fords. theres one thing missing though ! lets have more pictures of sarah,theres loads of mug shots you lads but none of her !, 99% of your readers are blokes who appriciate all things beautiful fords and birds.so come on ben do us all a favour !!! sorry ! knocked this meet on the head m8. the essex region had two meets at the pub,had 5 cars on the 1st meet and none on the 2nd.so decided it wasnt worth it !!!! the turbosport guys meet on the 1st sunday of the month,and they have a good turnout of cars,sometimes including old skool fords.if your ever at a loose end on a 1st sunday,theres always something down there of interest. cheers anyway;kev
