just found out that,the track doesnt open until about 17.00.so a 14.00 departure from the h/way house will be way to early,best make our own ways to the circuit as theres only been two replys !.

thanks alan !! didnt scare you away then after last meet !,should defentally be more cars this time.(especially if the bloody sun comes out). im often down there when the turbosport boys/girls meet,and you do get some decent motors down there from time to time, (quite afew rs,s turn up as well -for our benefit) and a good mixture depending on the weather. ive advertised as 12 -4,but most turn up about 1 -2ish, also looking forward to seeing you essexboy ! thanks for the support m8 cheers kev

is anybody interested in meeting up at the halfway house (a127) to convoy down to next weeks retro ford trackday at brands hatch ! the date is thursday 24th may and i was thinking about meeting up at 13.45 for a 14.00 departure to the track ! eta 14.30ish. im only watching but it would be nice to go down there in convoy ?. ben morley has advised us that there will be ample parking inside for old fords ,and the more the better. let me know if anyone is interested !, (but obviously if the weathers crap this might not happen !)

the essex regional osf meet will now be at the halfway house public house southend arterial road (a127) brentwood,essex on the 1st sunday of every month. (12 -4ish) our meet will join the existing turbosport meet on this date,reason being for the change is that the turbosport group meet already attracts quite afew old skool fords ,and to avoid overcrowding of events its probly best to hold it as one with them,so im sure there will be something of interest for most people !. also our existing date always follows the ace cafe meet on the 3rd saturday so most people will go to one event only !.i have spoken to quite afew people who agree with me that there are to many events going on at once to attend them all (especially in the summer month). so please come along to the next event which is the 3/6/07. thanks;kevin

if the osf admin want to put on a display (off the track) i would be more than happy to help or put my rs2000 on the stand ?. either way im going to watch the track action,and carnt wait to see ben sideways in the capri and the rs boys

just to let anybody who dont know already ! there is a custom/classic/american car and bike meet at frankie and benny,s in chingford on the last friday of the month. april to sept 7pm onwards im led to believe. i went afew times last year,and there is a nice sprinkling of old fords in with the mustangs/chevys/harleys etc, this would appeal really to someone who likes american style things ,but it aint abad night out for a neutral like me also.

ive been in contact with ben morley re a old skool ford display/stand. at this event ,does anybody fancy putting there car up for display to represent osf !. or is osf already arranging a stand as obviously i dont want to get involved if you are ????. if not can a moderate send me a pm re the possibilies of helping me out and maybe some merchadise if possible ?? (WHAT TIME ARE YOU GUYS STARTING THE TRACK ACTION ASWELL !!!) cheers;kev

this topic may have been cover (but i must have missed it) IS MANY OF YOU GOING TO THE RETRO FORD TRACK DAY AT BRANDS ON THE 24TH MAY, IM NOT TAKING PART IN THE TRACK ACTION BUT I REALLY WANT TO WATCH IT !. the essex osf meet welcomes old skool ford owners and enthusiasts !but obviously the more old fords that turn up ! the better,as this is what we all want to see at a car meet really. it would be nice to meet other members and see there cars, aprils meet was the first ever and maybe i was expecting to much !,but its something to build on and summer is just around the corner. so may 20th lets have a better turn out and put this region on the map. cheers;kevin

hi m8 the turn out was pretty poor unfortunatly ! dont ask me why,weather was good,location easy and well known,perhaps i was just waisting my time thinking there was possibly a few old ford owners in essex that wanted a chat/laugh/beer with fellow owners ? and a drive out on a sunday afternoon.... thanks anyway to the 2 mexicos owners from stevenage area,the mk1 cortina and the capri owner for turning up (thanks guys) and obviously you also.(sorry i missed you mate) i was the last to leave at about 3ish, the next one is on the 20th may 12 -4ish ,please come along all you old skool ford owners,id really like to kick start this meet next month. cheers;kevin

thanks to the cars which turned up today ! obviously there wasnt as many as i,d hoped for,(at least i wasnt on my own) but it was the first meet and i can only hope the numbers will increase as time goes on. thanks to the 2 mex,s (they sounded great leaving the pub and the guys in the mk1 cortina and capri ( sorry didnt chat to you but will next time if you come. the next meet will be on the 20th may 12.00 to 4ish (halfway house brentwood a127.) so please as many of you essex old skool ford owners and other regions mark this date on your calender... and come along... thanks guys.....kevin

see how it goes for a few months !.if the turnouts poor then maybe combine the two osf/turbosport. the reason i chose the third sunday of the month,was purely that only one other club meets on this date,(st club) on the first sunday is st club -again ! /cobra replica club and turbosport. i think there would be problems trying to park if a fourth was to attend.

i do mean the 15th sorry !!! 1st sunday of the month is turbosport club and cobra replica,s. obviously we carnt stop plastic cars from turning up as its a public house !!. but all my aim is, is to get as many classic/old skool fords out of there garages on a regular basis and meet up in the essex area for a chat/laugh with like minded old ford owners and entusiasts, obviously if aload of corsa,s/saxo,s with huge stereos turn up and spoil it i will have to re-think and go elsewhere. i do hope afew of you can make it,i dont expect much if the weathers crap,but i dont fancy sitty there like billy nomates on my own. cheers for the response so far anyway. kev.

hi all the third sunday of the month 12 to 4ish (starting this month 16th april) at the halfway house public house a127 southend arterial road brentwood essex (2 minutes from m25 jct 29 -southend bound) take a128 slip and immediate left into car park. food and kids area if you want to bring the family,decent size car park although the st club will be there.so arrive earlier the better,to knick the spaces. look forward to seeing afew of you !!! before i try and sort out anything,i will take a look at both venues over the next couple of weekends ! as i know that turbosport/cobra club/st club and datsun z club meet at the halfway house,so no discrespect to them we wont meet on the same day,as the car parks are not that big !!! i will also speak to the landlords to seek approval. watch this space,as the summers coming and hopefully the essex region of osf will be up and running by then. if anyone else can think of a decent pub or venue with a good size car park let me know and i,ll take a look,ive only thought of those two venues as they already hold car club meets on a regular basis. more importantly ! i better find a car first to go in ?.anyone got a nice mk1/mk2 rs2000 for sale.....

i might try and start up a essex area meet on a sunday lunchtime ! if anyones interested in helping me ? ,also any idea,s for a suitable location with a big car park and no neighbours ?.obvious choices for me are halfway house or dick turpin both on the a127.

im sorry if this appears in the wrong section but is there any active meets?group in the essex area for osf apart from the essex rsoc which i used to be involved in ! until the cossy/turbo boys took over and ruined it.
