i've been told this is a VERY grey area over the insurance as it is upto the officer who pulls you to decide as a car without tax & mot is not in a road worthy condition so your insurance CAN be invalid so i would make it clear to your insurance company what you are doing i got away with no insurance (many many years ago) when i bought a car & drove it home with no t&t or insurance cos i had it booked in to a mates garage for mot work & was told that you can drive a car to & from a place to have mot work done or an mot as long as its pre booked at a garage (not on the road outside your mates house ). the thing is if you get pulled on the way home from an mot & you have failed then your car should not be on the road yet they used to give you upto a month overlap on an old mot to put it right

you need a letter stating you membership details think i got mine off bailey mex a few years back & the discount still applies on modern cars aswell tell them you are a taking some scaffold home & its got jammed in the car

sure oddkidd does adaptors for EFI & MFI XR's & one for the carbs to run zetecs but they are not cheap but look better than that or if you can know someone that can do ali welding you could weld thetop part of the cvh manifold to the inlet from the mondeo

dont bother sending a letter as you have nothing to explain as there is a bit on the form that says i was not given the logbook by the last owner so just tick that & send it off with the details you have reg number & chassis number & you will get it back with all the other details thats all i do when i get a car with no logbooks

might sound daft but try towing it or bump starting it as i had the same problem with a mk3 escort 1.1 changed most bits & it just turned over & wouldnt start & was told to try that & it worked with it being a mini stock dont the have to have a cut out/imobilser ??? could it be that ?

i read in the paper that its at an all time high theres more proof on diesel about tax normal diesel £1.09 ltr red diesel 65p ltr ! why ? its the same stuff ???? i know a few lads that use "bio-fuel" some use fresh cooking oil but i know some that use the old stuff from chippies & stuff but why should they pay VAT on it (legally you are supposed to ) & the ones that run there cars on used cooking oil why should the pay for waste ? they should be payed for using it as the are always banging on about re-cycling & the enviroment well what are they doing & its supposed to be cleaner i was talking to a taxi driver & he said that he wont run his cab in rush hour as its not worth it & i know a few self employed & small bussinesses that are saying the same as they add the fuel bills up at the end of the month then theres the knock on effect of transport cost on EVERYTHING yet the minimuim hourly wage stays the same ? it cost a lad i worked with nearly a days wage just to get to work every week while he was on the starting pay grade RANT OVER FOR NOW

i know a few people on here have got yards & workshops so i thought i would ask where you find them as the places ive seen are silly money new units or dont want cars there ? all i want is somewhere that i can leave a car,work on it,store the stuff i need or break it up for spares but all the places i new years ago have been knocked down/rebuilt so anyone in the northwest no any farmers with an empty barn ??? as the one i thought i had has changed his mind again

ive had a lot of problems with my teeth over the last few years due to working 12hrs nights so never got time to go for check-ups so it was always emergancy appointment jobs ( filling/tooth cracked,absess,major tooth ache ) i used pain killers,clove oil,ambisol,salt water then it was anti-biotics then get it ripped out but i always ended up in agony after it was done as the roots of my teeth are quite long & nearly touch at the end ( ask your dentist if yours do as they put it on file for next time & they try to split the tooth or something before they take it out as it does less damage to the gum ???? ) but the best thing they told me to use was was sensadyne tooth paste !!!! just rub it on the tooth or gum like an ointment & leave it there dont wash your mouth out & just do it as & when i tried it & it went from pain to dull ache to nothing within 24hrs its for sensertive teeth so it numbs the nerve & it works on tooth ache aswell well it works for me

even diesel is the same now might aswell drop down to a 1.4 petrol escort/orion as the family car & save on the tax

i live near the trafford center & i think theres is on tonight & i seems to get less & less every year the first year was mad but i think there was alot of complaints plus if you drive down the M60 past it you can see a few hundred people stood on the bridge over the motorway watching

my brother said i worked for him to a point changed from pain to dull ache but he only went once & now its come back what do they do (apart from turn you into a pin cushion ) get you to go every so many weeks or as & when ? did the pain get worse before it got better ? i was there today & she sort of sprung the idea on me so i didnt have much time to think about or ask anything & im there next friday but would like to know more about it from people that have had it done as i dont want to waste my time going for it if : A it dosent work or B it only works while you keep going

does it work ? ive heard a few people say it stopped them smoking but i mean for injuries ? ive had a long standing injury to one knee for years so they say my other knee has taken most of the strain up until 2yrs ago when i twisted my other knee so now they are both f*****d so ive been going to physio on & off for years & painkillers arnt working aswell (propably got used to them ) they have done the usual heres some exercises stuff & tried ultra sound works for a bit then back to square one they wanted to remove the cartlidge at one point but said no as i spoke to a few people & they said it was worse so know they have said try this as they have good results with sports injuries ? or is this just another well it worked for ...... so we will try this cos we havnt really got a clue what to do next treatment

they called it industrial asthma when i saw my doctor for it about 14yrs ago as i worked in a bodyshop repairing hgv's & he said it was the fumes & filler dust as they have fine particales in them . when i left there i never had a problem again till i started working in a bakery & then i had the odd problem with breathing & it was the flour i also notice some chemicals can make it harder to breath as but ive just put it down to family history as my mum has it really bad & my brother did when he was younger . but i find it hard to breath in some of the dush masks but its dust & stuff that sets it off

about 20yrs ago my brothers mate had a mk5 cortina with a transit engine in it as he worked for the council he got his diesel at a *discount* & as said above ive seen that fiesta 1.8 diesel running rwd in a magazine & i had a vectra tdci hire car for a few months & yes it was quick but it was very thirsty the thing i would think of is just like petrol engines the newer the engine the more sensors & electric/wiring you have to do my mate did a mk4 escort 1.3 to a 1.6 diesel in a day with the cars sat next to each other just the odd bit of wiring & re plumming
