you all make me happy as i was thinking that £800 was to much for it in the condition that is in. the only thing i would like it to go to someone that will fix it and look after it not just use it for racing

i have a mk2 escort 4 door siting in the garage and in two minds what to do. the hart says keep it the mind says sell it its a 1600 ghia with a 2.0 pinto, 5 speed box, rs rear axle rs alloys and lowered all round. the rear wheel arches are in need of repair and the drivers doors are a bit rough. i have all the parts to repair it just cant really find the time if i sell it would it be worth £800 or not? i also have a 105E that i would spend the money on

my mate has a set of throttle bodies of a gsxr 1000 lying in his shed and it got me thinking will they fit my 2.0 xe. I've read of using 750 ones but haven't heard of using the ones of the 1000 so can anyone help by telling me if the 1000 ones will fit and work on my xe engine

tilt engine back prop up front slide gearbox under car get a piece of rope feed it down from inside engine bay and under the bellhousing get a mate to lift the front of the gearbox using the rope fro the top you lift the back and guide it into place have axle stand at the ready to hold tail up while you pout the top bolts in the bellhousing

the box will fit but you need the flywheel clutch and maybe the prop i think the mountings are the same

my son was talking to someone today and told them that i have a mk2 escort and thay asked if it was for sale so it got me thinking what is it worth? it is a 1977 1600 4 door ghia with rs2 running gear fitted it is needing the two rear wheel arches and the slam panel repaired i have the arches but not got round to fitting them so what do you think it's worth? i don't even know if i would sell it but its got me thinking
