  2. Found a picture for you
  3. Hi, I know of a guy who has done this. Met him at Carry on Camping last year. His name is Rab and he drives a General Lee replica Capri. I think you can get in contact with him on the Capri Club Scotland Forum. http://ccscotland.17.forumer.com/ He has a Rover V8 in there now but when I was speaking to him he said he used to have an XE.
  4. That would be the V4 1500 Cologne. My mate has a Saab 95 with one in it. I made a video of it and my other mates 1.6 Capri
  5. Their official page has all the details http://www.capriclubmk.com/carry_on_camping_200.html If anyone needs convincing take a look at some pics from previous events: http://www.network54.com/Forum/67242/thread/1183984614/Look+at+my+massive+CoCk+%28loads+of+pics--%29 http://www.network54.com/Forum/577323/thread/1189978664/DICC+pics+-+the+outdoor+night+life http://www.network54.com/Forum/67242/thread/1183907178/COC+Pics+Part+1+%28Dial+Up-Slow+connection+warning%29
  6. Definitely! Best Capri Show of the year!
  7. Cost £179 each, + I used 3 tanks of fuel from Reading to the dam and back. Then spent a ridiculous amount on drinks taxis and the rest in the evening
  8. Hey, Just posted up some pics in the Event Report section at http://www.oldskoolford.co.uk/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=782746#782746 Had a great weekend. Went out drinking and the rest on Saturday and Sunday nights. Didn't get back to the hotel until 6am on the Sunday so we were the last car to leave for the days touring . Definitely recommended for anyone thinking about it next year!
  9. Yo! Had a great time at the weekend! Here's some pics:
  10. Hey, Who's going on the classic ford trip this weekend? I'm heading down to Dover after work tonight. Just need to refit my bumpers before I go which are hanging up after a nice new coat of gloss black.
  11. Check this out! Its one serious conversion. http://www.corsasport.co.uk/board/viewthread.php?tid=420761 And before anyone asks what I was doing on a Corsa forum it was MSN'ed to me by an aquaintance.
  12. If you rebuild the carb you need something like this: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/WEBER-38-DGAS-CARBURETTOR-SERVICE-KIT-ORIGINAL_W0QQitemZ130202516190QQihZ003QQcategoryZ122139QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem And there are some really good instructions (for a 23/36 but 38 is basically the same) on the procedure here: http://fordcaprilaser.co.uk/carburettor_overhaul.htm Good Luck
  13. I've seen this problem with a 32/36DGAV. Drove fine but turn it off when its warm then try and restart and it just turns over and wont fire up. Cleaning out the carb and rebuilding with a carb rebuild kit sorted it.
  14. Got my info pack as well now and booked into the Premier Travel Inn Now just need to use this weekend productively to get the car ready. Looking forward to it now Is anyone else going to have a CB radio in their car for it? Or will I only have foreign truckers to talk to?
  15. My favorite car film is without a doubt Manta Manta! Unfortunately the Capri in it doesn't get much screen time though.
  16. Nice seeing you lot, keep us posted about the next one
  17. Yo, http://www.paddockspares.com/pp/DEFENDE ... 01219.html Thats the one. NRC8690 or HA901219 not sure which one is the part number. I got mine from that company but have seen them on eBay cheaper since. Use the seals and reservior from the Capri MC.
  18. Yeah, but putting car on the boat aint cheap and I'd rather be driving so I can stop in lots of little places to see them. It's something like 3500 miles so something like 250 miles of driving a day which I reckon I can handle.
  19. Hey, Just been planning my summer holiday. I'm going to take the Capri for a wee drive down to Gibraltar stopping at a few other places on the way. I thought I'd post on here to see if anyone else would like to come along in their Old Ford too, would be cool to have a convoy! The plan is to have a fairly dynamic itinerary but follow this rough plan: Meet at the Channel Tunnel on the evening of June 12th. Then go Bordeaux - Madrid - Porto - Lisbon - Gibraltar - Malaga - Valencia - Ibiza - Barcelona - Marseilles - Monaco, returning to England on the evening of June 29th. Transportation costs will be around £300 each including petrol, road tolls, channel tunnel if you base it on 3 people sharing a car. Accommodation will be by means of youth hostels in the cities and camping parks in the rural areas. If anyone's interested in joining this mission which will likely end in disaster let me know. As I say its going to be an on the fly itinerary so if we wake up one morning to hung over to get up we just adapt the plan. If there were a few cars interested we could always split up at points so people could see different things that interest them and meet up on the road later. As with all convoy's CB radios are must, and are cheap to get on ebay! This is going to be my summer holiday so I'm definitely doing it and would be even better if some of you could join me! Extra cars to carry spare parts and extra hands to help with roadside head gasket replacements are always good! Cheers -Chris
  20. Cheers mate Yeah, there were a few close ones, all good fun tho
  21. Grr, cant seem to post pictures for some reason
  22. Hi, Here's my pics from today. Had a great time. The tuition sessions I got really helped. Think I need more power for next time though. 126BHP Pinto doesn't cut it with all the cossies out there Car did well apart from being a wee bit smokey, looking forward to driving her to work tomorrow. -Chris
  23. Nice! Some serious engines there! Put my poor Pinto so shame
  24. I'm going on the track Monday in my 2.0 Capri. Looking forward to it loads. Going to Clifford Cox in Reading tomorrow morning to get engine properly set up. Then I just need to fit new brakes at the weekend.
