Mornin, i´m restoring a 1982 2 Door Cortina Estate and need new plastic inserts for the front and rear screen seals. I´ve found various suppliers that do the chrome version but i need them in black. Any ideas where i can get them? Do the esort ones fit by any chance? Cheers, Dave

Thanks for the infos guys. I´m going from a MKII front to MKI - i might as well - the front is knackered and the wings are no better. Fibreglass front end is not an option as the german MOT guys won´t allow them as they´re not original...... I´ve still got plenty of time so i´ll see what turns up in the next couple of months - we´ll be over for Cf at the pod so should be alright. Thanks for your offer of help MK14dr, much appreciated.

Oh go on then It´s getting the running gear from a Piazza Turbo, by the time my mate mark (Nightmares) has finished playing with the engine we should be the right side of 200BHP (before the boost is turned up:wink: )which will do for me quite nicely thank you More importantly thanks for the warm welcome back guys, much appreciated. Oh the Capri is finished, well more or less i´ve got a spare 24V sat around in the corner that could do with getting used next season or hidden here behind the misses and my 47 Rover

After nearly a year of technical problems at home and a company IT section that blocks OSF i´ve finally got it all sorted and am back up and running. As an act of penance for not being around i bought this little beut last month... EX MOD so it´s got absolutely no goodies in it but at least the planned turbo will have less weight to drag up the strip once it´s restored Might take a while though... anyone got a MKI front end they fancy selling? cheers, Dave

Hi guys, i´m still alive and kicking. The company i work for have blocked OSF so can´t get on during the day and it takes 5 or 6 minutes to load a page when i try from home, so i´m struggling a bit at the moment. I´m not sure why as retro Rides seems to work ok????? Still it was nice catching up a bit at the Pod on Saturday even if i did manage to miss most of you!! Cheers, Dave

I´m slowly getting serious about my V12 Capri project, I´ve just bought this 750i so that i can drop the running gear into the Capri I´ll be picking it up in Crewe next Saturday morning(31st Jan.) I´ll be landing in Dover on the Friday evening at 20:30 and will be driving up north via the M2, M25, M1 and M6 if memory serves me right. Does anyone need a car moving anywhere along this route? For the sake of a bit of petrol money i´ll be glad to help out as long as the detour isn´t too big. This is the trailer... The car would need to be rollable and I want to be in Crewe for Saturday morning as i´m driving straight back to Germany in the evening. Dave
