  2. 3S-GE toyota lump?
  3. I know its not the same engine(cvh)but its 1700cc and running twin 40,s.I worked out the mpg of my fiesta travelling to shakey and back last Sunday and it managed 34mpg driving steadily with a four speed box. If i drive like a loon it drops to around 15 mpg
  4. Mothers can be like that Glad you,re more or less in one piece though an it was,nt an osf you were in
  5. i never knew there was a factory turbo,d pinto. You learn something new everyday.Any idea what power they make as standard?.

  8. Hi Rog,No it was the traffic car she,d not met before, the locals would not have been so petty IMO
  9. Car is a 1993 mr2,apparently pre 91 cars are ok.All very confusing though. The plate has to show a BS number and plate makers name i.e wilco, partco etc.I suppose its meant to make it harder for people to make plates up to clone cars .Still think 7 days to get them changed would have been fairer than a fine. Besides its going to cost her(me)around 20 pounds to change them anyway.
  10. It Passed no problems Well chuffed
  11. Not my thing but you have to admit that its different
  12. The wife got pulled over for a 'routine' check last night on her way home from work, everything checked out ok i.e tax, mot, insurance, lights, tyres etc then the copper noticed her plates did not have the plate makers name on them.Instant 30 fine.Fair enough you may say but we think its a little harsh as the plates were on the car when she bought it 3 years ago and been through all its mots with them nothing said.Had we had known they would have been changed,a warning IMO would have been sufficent. Rant over
  13. The fiesta has an mot in the morning, had to break out the welder and replace a front chassis section and replace the wiper blades and a bulb. Also sorted the handbrake and blowing exhaust.I knew about all these jobs ages ago but as usual left it until the last minute to do them . Is it just me that does this ? Also modified a front grille which i think turned out ok.
  14. Nice one sounds good too.
  15. Close Sam just picture a few more cobwebs
  16. Did not take any before pics but lets just say that it was not a nice place to be in
  17. As per title,I must be spending too much time in the garage as i,d started to give the spiders names So i decided to have a good clean up and remove all the spiders along with half a million woodlice and various other weird looking bugs .Have now repaired the roof and windows, painted the walls and floor, fitted flourescent lights and generally tidied it up so its a much nicer place to be.I dont have any before pics but try to imagine the interior of a skip and you,d not be far out. However this is what it looks like now.Nothing spectacular but should be warm and dry in the winter.
