  1. Doesn't the editor the PPC have a 'naf old skool' V8 Capri?! vote with your feet and don't buy it. Matt
  2. ah yes, another decent mag from CF.
  3. I'll be up for the next one. I don't know anyone though....
  4. Like the old Datsun 180B's and the Toyota Crown. They look a million times better than they did when they were new. So, i missed a good day then , one for next year i recon.
  5. I was all set to go to the Retro Rides show but didn't realise what a "selfish ba5tard" i was. Suffice to say, i spent the day in a musium looking at old stones and paintings of clouds. So, was Retro Rides show any good? I hoping it was rubbish.
  6. a bit fragile but if you can get the cooling right these really are a gem of a motor. I'd pop a set of minilights on it though.
  7. I'll be there. Is OSF having a stand or gathering?
  8. Chinese burn, it's the only way forward!
  9. Thanks guys, I appreciate you comments. I would be good to see because, after all, Fords were built with the masses in mind and sporting fords were for the people. Whether is goes in or not it's good to keep these cars on the road as every one is entertaining and imaginative. I take your point on the classifieds, about 4 years ago i turned down a 2 door escort, good shell, alloys, 1.6 engine, cage, few other bits, etc. only 10 miles from my home because I thought the 1200quid asking price was a bit high. Even if you can only afford a scrapper with 1 month test on it (i think we have all been there), buy it, enjoy it and you will never look back.
  10. He's doing it on a purpose so let him know you are not happy. Ask him not to do it, see what he says. Then cancel the delivery mate and when he asks why, tell him. Only thing to do.
  11. Just dropped Mr Charlton an email at CF to see if i could get on to the 'Your Yard' section of CF. Seems to think it might be possible some time soon. Don't get me wrong, it's nothing like your cars but after Ford Fair and the prices of just spare parts I thought it would be good to show people that you can get in to classic fords on budget motoring and you don’t have to settle for a rust bucket! My motor cost £350 with 6 months test and tax and just needed a good wash. Hope we can show people what is possible and available out there. Matt
  12. Posse, it looked to be running ok when you nearly run me over as i was eating an ice cream!
  13. looking good pal. where did you get the wheels? did you get them referbed or did you buy them like that? If you had them referbed where did you get it done?
  14. Loads of varied articles and even some fiesta bits in it. Cover story is fantastic and even though most of the cars look very familier it's still a cracking read. Top job guys, the best Ford mag out there for the classic crew.
  15. I aggree, it looks too good to spoil it. Slightly lowered on Lotus steels i recon. Thats my 2 cents anyway.
  16. looks very clean and i'm liking the diamond polished RS rims. I like the clean simple look.
  17. thats v nice, i would deffo swap you for me fiesta!
  18. every now and then something comes along that really upsets me. Why don't i have one of these...? Very nice motor.
  19. looking good. looks a solid shell there mate.
  20. thats just made me do a small s3x wee.
  21. I would keep it standard apart from a slight drop and Lotus Steels. It would look smashing then.
  22. Thats a disgrace, sort it out......on the other hand i may be able to do something with it so i'll swap you for my fiesta
  23. looks a very straight car that mate. let us know how it is when you get it home.
