Went to see a "rock and roll" concert last night in dagenham, essex. There was shawaddy waddy, david essex, the bay city rollers and of course status quo who were great. To top it all off the status quo replica mk1 escort turned up in the car park, what a lovely car. Anybody else go?

the driver of the santapod jet car (firforce 1/2/3) is martin hill i believe. the g of that probably isnt as much as a top fuel dragster as the jet cars rarely do 300mph+.

the yellow car is a pc cresta, my mates car is painted in valvoline colours and were fat pack racing. yer i know rob the driver of greenfish's son. that would have been my capri leaving the swapmeet. also i bought a car off of micka few years ago, john moriss's old reliant scimitar drag car, can't wait to see his new car out. my mate has just bought a mk1 escort drag car built by dave back in the day, will make a nice car when its all finished. good luck with car, will see you at the track as we race a Vau**aul Victor in pro et and im hoping to sort myself out a car for sometime next year.

wouldn't be a bad idea to set up a southend meet as i don't know of any. might have a good venue for it too, the b52's american diner near the airport, i work with someone whos family owns the unit next door. if anybodys interested i'll have a word and see if they don't mind. i know they do have meets down there for hotrods so worth a try i spose .

the black centers witht he polished rim looks nice. i'de go superlite if i couldnt find a nice set of alleycats.

lol, sorry i was a bit vague. i meant do they call the whels something other than alleycat. just had another look through the site and couldn't find anyrhing like them.

it needs to go at th end of the summer really as im getting back inot drag racing and i need the funds for that. i want to get a full summer out of it first as i do love it, but ive been dreaming of full on balls out drag racing ever since i started going 11 years ago.

Hi, I'm going to be looking to sell my car at the end of the summer to fund a new car. how much do you guys think i could get for it then, spec as follows: - 77k ish miles - full x pack kit professionally fitted by tickover - full respray a year or so ago with re-blacked bumpers, not a spot of rust or welding that i have found - full caprisport big bore exhaust system - delocked doors and boot on solenoids - electric windows and central locking - full closure cobra alarm and immobiliser - comopomotive split rim wheels all round - 3.4 lsd - 4 pot brakes all round - 3.5i rover v8 and 5 speed box - adjustable inserts on front struts and single leaf rear - rollcage - monster tach and shift light - brooklands leather interior needs the engine bay spraying but its not tatty or flaking, just a different colour. and head lining has a few small tears.

i have a set pretty much the same as the 3rd ones lying around. in vgood nick just need stripping (only thin spray paint, come off easy with nitromors or the like)and spraying, powdercoating, polishing etc. if your interested pm me.

anything with a return address would get sent back, say if the destination address was incomplete, etc. i agree with you that there should be a form of insurance in the standard price and maybe extra insurance for more expensive packages. really how are the company to know what was in the package and its worth.

I work for royal mail and we have been royally shafted ourselves. the insurance i believe isn't to make sure you get your item it's incase the worst happens and it does go missing so that you can claim for it. also trust me when i say that i know of no postie that is "too lazy to deliver it so they dump it all behind a hedge somewhere". If they did they woudn't have a job for very long.

i know what you mean rick, im a postie in essex and it aint much better here. they employed casuals to work over xmas who if they didnt feel like delivering it would just leave it in the pouch boxes and never come back. i heard a few even dumped some mail.
