was thinking 24v cossie but arent they all auto`s? and quite wide, as the Anglia engine bays quite small!!

i`ve been thinking for a while about changing the engine in the Anglia but dont know what for. its currently got an essex v6 in it. its got a Swaymar inlet,holley carb, burton cam etc but standard heads! i could save for some modded heads but they`re £900ish and i`d still only get around 200-220bhp. was thinking of twin-turboing it but really cant be bothered! any suggestions on an engine that i could get,for around the price i`d get for the essex(£500ish)?????????

3.0 litre, balanced bottom end, lightened flywheel, shot-peened rods, steel timing gear, burton cam, modded heads(think stage 2) Swaymar inlet(ported) 390 holley double pumper carb, lumenition ignition, magnecor leads, bosch super 4 plugs, tubular manifolds. i`m having another supercharger for it aswell, off a Mustang, and maybe twin-turbo`s, money permitting!!

i`m hoping to have the car finished for this year but the way things are going it`ll probably be next year!

fookin gutted!! just about to lower the engine into the Anglia when the rope broke and dropped the engine onto the front panel(broke a big chunk out) and bent the grill! i can repair the panel easily cos its fibreglass but looks like i need a new grill. again!! bugger!! but at least its in now. time for a few

are they full race? i dont think these are that big, i`ll have a measure up tomorrow.

might get 300 with bigger nitrous jets, but only once!!! what size valves are you running in your heads? i`ve been given some modded heads but think they`re only stage 2.

not sure on power, friday night pub talk its probably 300bhp!! but realistically hoping for 190-200ish.

the v6 is finally put together and will be fitted in the Anglebox on saturday. hooray! hoping to be out sometime this year got new tyres fitted aswell 255 60 15`s

THEN- NOW-

get it clamped down where you want it and get a heat gun on it where it`s warped. it wont go back to normal but it`ll be pretty close. dont get it too hot tho, it`ll start to bubble and melt!!! if you use coremat on panels, you dont need to use as much matt as normal so they shouldn`t be any heavier, unless you use 4mm or thicker,or any more expensive for that matter!

dont think 205/70 x 13`s will fit. they`re 15 inch rims!!! i`m using 225/50 15`s on my Anglia. try places like Sinton Tyres or American Auto Centre. they stock most american sizes

H i mate, i run a v6 essex in my 105e. what rad you using? mines the 3 litre one from a capri and i use Water Wetter additive. never had any problems

got the rear floor, the wheel tubs and the tray for the fuel cell in tonight. hoping to get the engine in place on monday so i can make the mounts up.
