My uncle use to own an x works mkII escort apparently it was campainged by some famouse raly driver back in the day. My uncle raced it in Scotland back in the late seventies and early eighties. Then he layed it up in a barn for best part of twenty years, I use to play in it as a kid and pretend i was a rally driver Anyway wondering if it still around my uncle said he sold it to a guy who was gonna race it in Ireland?? Remember reading about the thames flatbed in Streetmachine many years ago. mid mounted rover V8 with jag IRS rear Saw it for sale about a year ago. looking allmost identical to the picture above. Hi, Have owned fast fords for years, had a completely original Mk1 Mexico in the early ninties which I now deeply regret seling. Also built a MkII with 2.0 pinto power 5 speed box etc. My family both uncle and Dad use to rally escorts back in the Seventies so i guess it in my blood. Would love to own an original Mk2 RS200 Xpac, and one day i will Recently bought a 100e that im in the process of modifying. Fiting a V8 105e axle etc. In the short term im building a sleeper but in time i plan to turn it into a full on gasser. Unless that RS2000 comes up first.
