actually the interest is really high up here had a 10 year anniversay show for the western isles car club about 2 years ago and over 100 old skool cars turned was wicked .as for oldskoolfords we have 4 mk2 mex's ,2 mk1 mex's a couple o mk1 rs2000 reps ,2 xpacks (RS2000)plus about 3 or 4 mk2 RS2000 and there on the road plus atleast the same amount again in garages in various states of repair or even disrepair,also got a few mk1,mk2,mk3 ,mk4 cortinas plus a smattering of capris oh forgot anglias as well plus your other makes from very old skool to plastic .In the last 6 or 7 years the scene has really come to life again much better than sitting in the front of the TV lol

decided yesterday since it was a nice day to get the mex out of hibernation and wash of the dust ,had the mechanic down last week to give her a tune up since i fitted electronic ignition now running really sweet

i bought a set of pattern ones and they were like a bannana,got a pair of ford ones were slightly better binned got a second pair of ford ones fitted really well my mate got pattern ones and fitted really good so i think theres a bit of luck involved aswell

nice indeed, good base to start of with and to make it your own ,not bad price either

theres a guy on ebay sells them aswell metric and imperial think it was £30 new for a full set

wow that was lucky most people never see there cars again a lot to be said about them trackers hope its not badly damaged

always loved fords so had a cortina ghia 2.0 as first car then bought the mex i've got just now after getting a spin of me mates mex (mk2)always brings a smile to my face also in my day the RS's were the car to have as well as cortina's thats how old i am

its the joy of restoration nearly everybody gets it from time to time especially when you set yourself targets that cannt be met ,cure is usually to leave it well alone for a while and the enthusiasim usually comes back
