KILLER CROSSFLOW STRIKES AGAIN
  7. Just a bit of in car footage from our local Hill climb in my Mk2 from Saturday. Road mostly dry but damp through the centre section. Cheers John.
  8. Hi Toby, It was up at a place called superior cars . Not sure if they are still going? All the mags used to use them for shootouts etc. It gave 272bhp@ 7750 and used to pull to 9 I Missed a gear once and on the telltale it went to 10750!! 92mm stroke 91.2mm bore. 2430cc on 50's with 46mm chokes 195 mains with 130 airs it used to like the juice!! The cylinder head had enormous ports and the usual HT fabricated inlet manifold. The engine was originally developed for a guy called Dave Routledge (spelling) to prove that a N/A Cosworth would produce more power than a Warrior. Im in the process of putting all my old Hillclimb Vids onto DVD so when I have some time I will post a couple of clips, it sounded awesome.
  9. Hi mate - do you know the torque figure and rev's? Hello matey, it's got 99ft/lb @ 6000. Just a little less than my old N/A Cosworth that HT did for me about 18 years ago, that had 249 ft/lb @ 5250 from 2430cc. Mind you that was on a 92mm crank.
  10. Just a smaller version of a BDA, they even did a BDJ which was 1100cc and gave around 150bhp. Mines 1298cc on Slide throttle injection, not much torque but she revs
  11. BD . . . . . . H Mind you thats at 9700
  12. My 1300 makes 180bhp Not sure about the Crossflow . . . . . . . . but we will see in October.
  13. Still waiting for the event photographer to post his pics!! He does have one pic up so far but he only got half the car in the frame . . . . . he must have been running for cover

  18. Evening all, I thought it was about time I joined all you like minded people so here I am. Brief history lesson. I have been racing Fords for 20 years (mainly Escorts) which have had many different engines over the years. I currently have a MK2 with a home built 1798cc Crossflow in it, and an Anglia. I also have a couple of non Fords in the stable but we wont go into that Cheers John
