WANTED Weber DCOE air horns/velocity stacks
browneskids replied to browneskids's topic in OLD SKOOL FORD PARTS WANTED
Only just read this... OK, I thought I saw some 100mm ones but maybe they were bolt-on? Thanks anyway👍 -
Hi guys, I'm after finding car specifications, to help with a car we're building at work (not a Ford). We're looking at converting a late 40s set-up, to rack & pinion, so need a rack with the correct track width. Our car is 54 inch front track. It seems that Capris are very close but I cant find a reliable source of info. Can anyone confirm Capri track widths. Is the Mk3 1353mm (53.26 inches) Any exact info would be great 👍

Weber DCOE trumpets/stacks
browneskids replied to browneskids's topic in OLD SKOOL FORD PARTS FOR SALE
Forgot I still had these, so still available for £40, or swop for longer ones + moneys etc. -
Set of 4 steel trumpets for DCOE 40s. Total length 75mm, with about 38mm showing once fitted. They're in good condition with very minor pitting - being fussy. TBH, I'd rather swop these for a longer set. I'm after at least 75mm (once fitted) but 100 or 120 would suit me. If you have a set of long ones you dont want, let me know, cheers, Kev.

Just after any recommended local places to have new front floor panels replaced & boot repair done.- you know, any of those little tucked away places that nobody ever knew existed.... Thanks

Understressed "119" engine is very strong, so is 5 speed autobox, diff & exhausts last well too. Heavy on brakes/tyres & front door trim parts dont seem to last for some reason. Remove trim just below wipers. Replace dust filter, clean out gutter drain holes & put a dab of oil on blower motor centre spindle to prevent it seizing (£400+) Also check vacuum pipes under seats arnt kinked/split

Very original & very good condition bike. Everything works, wheels/rims straight, Excellent tyres, seat post isnt stuck. Just doesnt get used any more & is taking up space. Looking at the brakes n gears, it's about 20 years old but I cant confirm that £30 Gu12 area. Surrey/Hants boarder 07843 234037 Kev

Thanks for the responses guys. Im not a member on the other sites. Def this car. I was driving it in Sept 2009, in Ireland, with this plate. I also read the mag article with same plate but cant remember what mag or what year it was - Doh !!

As the title says really. I need to locate the owner of a black RS500 cossie. - reg Number E999JPO. Trouble is, the reg is showing the car has been untaxed since 2008. My uncle, who lives in Ireland, sold this car "about" 2/3 years ago. Apparently it was in a magazine years ago, as Ford gave it away as a prize. Is this ringing any bells with anyone?? Really, what I'm after is some decent photos of it, as he never took any. I can verify his name/details etc via PM is anyone knows/owns it now but is suspicious of my asking. Thanks

Whatever your experiences guys, it wouldnt hurt if you can leave the car at a different address from the one that it was viewed at, at least until it's sold. You never know...
