  1. I have an FR30 cam complete with followers, ball studs and spraybar. Its done less than 10,000 miles and I ran it on valvolene vr1, changed every 3k. It was a complete kit from kent cams but its still fitted to the head at the moment and id like to keep the valve springs with the head. If your interested you can have it for £85, id have to get a quote on postage.
  2. Ive got one, you can have it for £11 posted if thats any good? I can send the bolts too. It was in use until recently and isn't rusted scrap.
  3. I can wrap it all in cardboard and post it to you?
  4. These are ending sunday, current bid £175!
  5. Just listed these on eBay starting at £7.50, i'll remove this advert if they're bid on. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Escort-Cortina-chrome-centre-caps-/121881339392?hash=item1c60b1a600:g:~H4AAOSwa-dWrmlM
  6. Ive just put these on eBay starting at £175, if they're bid on then i will take this advert down. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ford-escort-mk2-mexico-steel-wheels-/121881307734?hash=item1c60b12a56:g:TkIAAOSwvUlWrmA2
  7. eBay link http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121894443325?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 Theres so little out there for exhausts for the MK5 Cortina, so here you have the opportunity to purchase a full performance exhaust including manifold. This exhaust was fitted to my car until recently and fits better than the standard one did. My car was saloon MK5, don't know if it will fit MK3/4 cortinas as well but I would guess so. The manifold is from a MK3 Cortina GT ( or thats how it was advertised when I purchased it ). The manifold has been painted with black stove paint purely to limit corrosion whilst its not being used. This part is not stainless steel . The manifold has however had the tip cut off and a stainless part welded on so the rest of the exhaust fits perfectly. The rest of the exhaust was made by a specialist from an independent company. Its been made with stainless 2-1/4" pipe, there were no off the shelf pre formed bends or pre-made silencers. It was all made from scratch in stainless steel, all bends are mandrill bent and has been made to a very high standard. The dent shown in the pictures was put there on purpose by the guy that made the exhaust. I agreed for him to do it in the name of being able to fit the exhaust tighter to the body. For what I was using my car for it didn't hamper performance. (The old exhaust rubbers are not included in the sale, they are now in the bin). Id heard so may poor reviews on the ashley systems about having to chop them about to get them to fit. Just checked the price on an ashley manifold and system and its about £390 Why not buy this manifold and system for £250 its a 1/4" bigger diameter, made of stainless and it'l fit. Pick up from TR3 Not certain what it will cost to post but £25 would cover it I would hope
  8. Chrome centre caps, the attachment points on the inside are corroded, some to the point of non existance. I pressed them on when I used them but I wish id flattened all the attachment points and just siliconed them on as its a bit less brutal when you remove them. See the pictures for condition. Collect from TR3 post code £10 Postage is £5
  9. Bidding has now started on eBay so if you want them follow the link below http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121881307734?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 MK2 Escort Mexico steel wheels. Deep dish 5.5". Have been blasted and powder coated. As can be seen in the pictures the wheels after blasting were pitted on the dished face and unfortunately the paint process didn't hide this. Two wheels are better, two are worse but it doesn't detract from the look too much. They are wrapped in the grippiest tyres I've ever had! Uniroyal Rain Experts. They really are grippy in all conditions and theres still loads of tread on all of them. (The two tyre pics) one tyre was used on the front and one on the rear, they're both pretty even though. The overall condition of the wheels and tyres is very good, there may be the odd chip in the paint where i had centre caps on. Ideally pick up from TR3 post code £225 Can post for £40 extra
  10. Hi, I'm looking to sell my 1982 Cortina Crusader that I've owned for the last 8 years. Its currently sorn but still has MOT until July 19th 2016. I have lots of old mots, lots of receipts, two sets of keys. The engine alone owes me over 2K (receipts to prove). The bad bits - the paint is dull, worst on roof, bonnet and boot. - it needs various cosmetic repairs, a badger dented the valance, the bottoms of the front doors are rusted, there are other areas that are rusted around the screen etc. - the engine needs setting up on a rolling road, it was driving ok until I started trying to find an air leak or a fuelling issue and made the issue worse, got fed up and took it off the road. The good bits - the chassis and underside are very solid and always have been (never welded, always wax oiled). - the standard steels have been replaced with mk2 escort mex steels that i had blasted and powder coated, they have the press on metal hub caps and some good wheel nuts. (They are however pitted in places from the blasting process but it doesn't detract from them too much). they're shod with 175/70 Uniroyal rain experts, all have good tread. - new standard ride height stiffened springs front and rear from rally design. - gaz adjusable dampers front and rear. - flow flex polybushed throughout (except rear antiroll bar). - new steering rack (not recon). - new steering coupling. - new from callipers, discs, pads and hoses. - drums were rebuilt a few years ago with pads, cylinders and springs etc. - master cylinder and servo were replaced a few years ago with new items. - instrument cluster replaced with one with a rev counter, all connected and operational, kept original speedo so milage is correct. - steering wheel is 14" mountney. - interior and heading are in excellent condition. - new cibie headlights with decent h4 bulbs. - all electrics work as they should. - type 9 5 speed fitted. - new uprated clutch (drive torque stage 1) - the engine is as follows: NEW PARTS >2.1 balanced short engine (built by Jem engines) >flowed head, standard size valves, bronze guides, hardened seats (built by SRD racing) >kent cams kit FR30 high torque >high pressure oil pump (built by Xpower engines) >electronic ignition distributor and dry cell coil (built by H&H Ignition) >60amp alternator >adjustable cam pully (turbosport) >custom made all mandrill bent in 2 /1/4" stainless steel exhaust, twin box from manifold outlet. (fits better than the standard exhaust) USED PARTS >MK3 Cortina GT exhaust manifold >Weber 40DCOE's and HIFLOW manifold. Cornwall TR3 post code £1950 ONO

  17. Great stuff. It will happen again, its the same for all expansion vessels. They're normally good for a couple of years but you won't realise it needs doing until your in that situation where every time you run your heating the pressure drops.
  18. Hi, the expansion vessel is likely depressurised and may have back filled with water. It works in the same way as the expansion side of your car radiator/water system. When the heating is turned on and the water heats and expands, rather than the pressure rising to the point that the pressure relief valve opens (3bar), the water expands and compresses the air within the expansion vessel. To recharge the expansion vessel you need to create an open end on the system, i.e. open a drain off or even open a radiator vent/bleed. Then locate the Schrader valve on the expansion vessel and attach an air pump with a gauge. As long as the pipe that connects the expansion vessel to the heating isn't blocked ( worcestor don't normally have an issue), start pumping and when your air gauge reaches 1 bar and stays there, you know your no longer pumping water out of the expansion vessel. Remove the air pump and make sure the schrader valve isn't letting by. Shut the open end on the system. Repressurise the boiler to 1 bar, run the heating and vent the radiators, re-pressurise if necessary. It would also be beneficial to check the pressure relief pipe where it terminates. This will be a 15mm pipe that will terminate outside. If you don't want to do it yourself, any decent heating engineer can check/sort this. Do not buy a new boiler. I carry out this work on a daily basis.
  19. Stithians in cornwall
