well to be honest it was a full on rally car so might of been worth the money and reckon he would of took a bit less for it. just looked like it might of been hiding a few rust issues. looked nice but back archs felt like they where full of bodge. think mk1s are to small for me,had a quick release steering wheel on it which was good cos otherwise i couldnt get in .

think theres a few mk1 and mk2s around that area. i bought a mk2 of a guy called malcom who lived near there and had a 1600 sport last time i seen him. one of you's might even know him

when i took a xflow out of a mk2 i had then put another engine in a few weeks later i tried the same coil that i had on that worked fine before and it just had no life in it. got another coil and was fine. it was quite old though.

had my mk2 back on the road for about a month now and thought i would put some pics of it on its new wheels,ect. engine is 2.0 pinto with a mild road cam ( soon to be changed to something better) 4 branch,ect 5 speed box . goes ok but not much quicker than the old xflow except top end is miles better with the 5 speed in it.

theres a lad in darlo called mark who is a sprayer/panel beater and his work is fantastic and he knows everything there is to know about rs's. he gets on rallesportescorts or what ever the website is called and his user name is markymark2 (i think) . he got mine sorted in 5 mins despite me trying to get it going for 3 month!! or there is blueoval garages think its in the boro and have heard really good things about them

theres a thread on here somewhere showing the correct thrust bearing for the clutch cover you have. ive got the same problem with my mk2 escort and its because it has the wrong thrust bearing.

ive got a black mk2 1.6 ghia with vinal roof and blue interior. got recaros in the front now but kept the front seats incase i sell the car. never seen another black 4dr ghia around where i live. its the one in my sig
