  3. Hi New_Skool 100bhp from a crossflow is quite simple, i have 106bhp from a fairly tired 1660 running a mexico head, twin DCOE's, a 234 cam and electronic ignition so a set of 40's and a good camshaft should see you around that figure on a 1600 running good compression and as for pic's, as soon as i remeber how (or if anyone want's to refresh my memory) i'll get some piccies of my little more door up cheers 4 door escort
  4. i never knew there was a rolling road there, my motor club has been using that as a play ground for quite a few years

  14. pukka, looks like that came up really nicely, i've never had a problem with spray cans

  16. rally design reckons something in the region of 195bhp @ 7500rpm for a clubman box or 250bhp for the heavy duty box
  17. what linkage will you be using, from memory i think the standard ford linkage is different to the twin carb set up on mine i had the funny plastic thingy by the carb and then on the pedal box there was another clip thingy, when i changed to twin carbs i got a different linkage kit which came with all the cables and bits needed just a thought, you did mean twin carbs and not twin choke carb? if so then you can modify the standard linkage and cable to work just fine
  18. oh my god, that was so funny, i haven't laughed like that for a long time, tears going down my face, the lot! made the office laugh, poor sod was done big time
  19. woah....your girls are flippin' gorgeous
  20. must say i'm partial to almost any retro rides, had a race against a renault gordini which i thought was top notch, just something about older cars, they have a lot more character, i'm also into bikes, not so much sports bikes but big custom things and some jappy things are ok as are american muscle cars
  21. well it's been nearly a month now and nothings turned up, did have the police phone and say the case has been re-opened last saturday as the car was seen (supposidly) last tuesday 26th at elmers end by a member of the public who had seen one of my posters, it took the police until the 30th to tell me, and admit that they didn't even know what the car looked like? What the F*CK????? i asked them if it had been re-opened, when was it closed, they told me it would have been the sunday after i reported it stolen because it wasn't a solveable crime....so after just two days that was it, case closed i checked out this lead in elmers end but there was nothing there that looked like my car, never the less, the car could have been there but in the 4 days it took the police to respond it disappeared moral of the story....if you have a problem, then sort it out yourself cos the police only want solveable crimes, think i might go on a killing spree tonight then!
  22. what engine is in it now? try Lancaster for a classic policy or competition car insurance if it's been modified
  23. having had mine stolen recently, i would rather be paranoid, cautious etc etc, than have another one taken especially in light of how useless the police have been, closing the case two days after it was reported because it's not a 'solveable crime' so i would take care to shake any one i think is following me and what was this about a shogun? has any one noticed a link between the misiing cars and a mitsubishi shogun then?
  24. you should sprint it rather than banger it, it's a lot kinder to the car and is still extremely cheap
  25. holy moly...i saw that on Monday on my travels
