If i was you i would try and borrow some tools or get someone out who has done these cambelts before to try and help you out!!!! you dont want to get it wrong eg cam and crank!!!! you will prob find out its a nacks nacker out!!!! (prob on the pump timing!) cheers dave!

i have found in the past the only way to do these cam belts is to do it by the book! i done one once paint marking it and it would not start after! - pump timing was very very slightly out (not even 1/2 a tooth out! im sure to get them 100% right after the belt is fitted audi would normally plug their diagnostic machine on to check the pump is within tolerance, dont hold me to this! its just my back ground knowledge of working on skoda's! dont get me wrong if its all timed up to what the book says it should be fine! modern cars cant beat the old! dont no if this is any help? cheers dave
