As Big G says, you will need to put a baffle plate under the fill cap. I had the same problem with mine.

I'm thinking of going with a 2.0 duratec fit in my mk1 escort. It's got a 2.2 pinto in at the moment but I'm after something more reliable and refined for an every day driver. Getting over 200 bhp is easy with throttle bodies and maybe some cams. There are various engines on eBay etc for around £500, throttle body kits with ecu for £1200. YB's are fine but I think a more expensive conversion.

Mine was also doing this, I just put a baffle plate in my rocker cover just under the filler neck. Completely stopped the oil spraying out. I was told it was because I was running a high pressure oil pump
