  1. Lol , they would make great traffic wardens !
  2. The twin cam is a cracker . Get your £30K ready .
  3. Yes this car has had a full make over and it's now with a subaru flat 4 turbo engine and gearbox (converted to rear wheel drive instead of 4) . I was chatting to Chris at ford fair and he's hoping to run some quick 1/4's with 520bhp sitting in the back of a fiesta
  4. The "piazza" turbo came in 2 guises , normal and Lotus . The Lotus one had decent suspension designed by "Lotus" funnily enough and that was the only difference between them . They used to go alright as well so will fly in an old 105E if you can get it too fit .
  5. For a road car/trackday car then an ATB. For a drag car then a locker/spool . For a rally car then a plate LSD .
  6. Yes forget v8's in escorts as too big unlesss building a space frame type machine . A good fast turbo 2 litre installation is still not cheap Sambo . Just the Atlas axle is 2500 pounds alone if rebuilt to new . Then for a track car you don't need a big turbo (400 plus bhp etc) you need a small responsive turbo to go faster around the corners and too pick up fast when you come off the brakes etc . An engine like this will still cost a few quid if building new with all quality parts , gearbox , shell fabrication , intercoolers , axles etc etc . Even then it will still have decent pintos , N/A cosworths , XE's , etc etc sitting close to it's back panel or dare i say it , in front !
  7. The car looked much better when you had the RFX's on it in those old mag features from years ago
  8. Yes 100bhp a litre N/A on pump fuel below 8000 revs is a great target . Anything higher is usually bullshit but exceptions do occur now and then .
  9. Don't you mean the magic 100bhp a litre barrier ?
  10. 11.1 secs at 130mph with no nitrous while still street legal is awesome mate
  11. My mate knows a few of the HPE crew and i'm pretty sure that James and Andy Harris both had 111mph terminal speeds at Brighton . James also managed an incredible 1.6sec 0-60foot on that road surface .
  12. Super result and good luck for Brighton
  13. What make of rolling road have they fitted then ?
