this is the first time we have been to this show as you can see i havent been a member for to long this was my first year of owning an old skool ford we went to the retro show last year witch rekindled my love of old fords i have always owned fords from mk1 escorts to my currant mondeo and mk5 cortina yes i feel there was a lot of newer fords there but having said that every individual there took pride in ther particular ford apart from some idiots ive been reading about on this thread theres always some pr...cks fuelled by stella act a twat when i decided to go old skool it was not just about the car it was the people involved going to shows and getting out off the rat race wether i was changing a gearbox or sitting in the sun or driving down the road and feeling that little better about life so wether your choice is a jelly mould or a cortina were all entitled to our choice it was a great show lots of good racing and beautifuly prepared cars i hope to go to more shows this year we are off to the retro show this year were it all began hopefully will get to meet some of you there

hi darren been looking at gearboxes today my brother has a couple of type 9 boxes petrol and deisels because my is making some funny noises couldnt see any difference between them but dont know about the ratios he has one from a p100 deisel if your struggling to find one did try to find you at the cf to have a natter but unable to track you down they seek him here they seek him there but couldnt find him anywhere cheers mate

hello all after running down to the pod this year for the cf show ( buy the way to much plastic for me ) in my mk 5 cortina pinto powered with the family i was for some unknown reason nervous during the journey listening for noise constantly watching the temp gauge so have decided to change the engine dont get me wrong i love the pinto but feel if i am going to do a lot of miles i think possibly should look at installing a more modern ford engine wot do you think which conversion would be cheap and easy for my beloved cortina all sugestions greatly received by the way great turnout on the stand it was nice to see old skool well represented amongst all that plastic

hello all just thought i would introduce myself and my beloved cortina mk 5 first the important part my car is a crusader just lowered 2" with superlites supplied by midland wheels (great service and price ) have also poly bushed whole car currently installing 2.1 pinto and five speed box as 1.6 is getting a bit smokey and tired would like some advice on what propshaft to use any advice would be great. looking forward to being part of this community with like minded people old fords will never die
