  1. My tina built how I want it and a 105e, full period look but all milton underneath with a worked over 4age sucking through twin webers.
  2. Might be worth looking for recaro's from another make. For example I got a pair of black leather recaro's from a mk3 Golf GTI Colour concept for £80. Rover Recaro's are also normally fairly cheap. Subaru Impreza seats are cheap and look buckety. Also MX5 seats are cheap and look quite retro and cool.
  3. I've only seen it done on a mk1 Fiesta, which is absolutely no help. Could be a cool little conversion, especially with the efi. Would be reliable and economical and as you say plenty powerful enough for an Anglia.
  4. Old Auto parts store have bumper corners but not sure if they're genuine or not. In fact I think they have a lot of that stuff.
  5. Flipping fantastic.
  6. Vag 1.9tdi. Get one from an A4 or Passat and they're longitudinally mounted. You'll need a bellhousing adaptor but a chap in the uk has put one in a transit on a type 9 so it is possible. The 110 afn's are great engines, they tune easily (bigger turbo, injectors and front mount with a remap will see 180hp easily), and they're veg oil friendly. One is seriously under consideration for my project car.
  7. Time for a Granada?
  8. I was suprised to learn that the wheelbase of an original Ford Ka is 25mm longer than a mk1/2 Escort!!
  9. Advertising this on behalf of my cousin. Unfortunately/fortunately he has just found out that his wife is going to be having twins! So much of his car stuff is having to be sold off to fund a baby chariot. This is first up. Michael has built up these parts over a while with the idea of converting his mint XR2i. Included is: The Engine, was bought from an RS Breakers, it is standard and was serviced and running when removed. It has been dry stored in my garage. Original FRST intercooler, Large capacity Airtec intercooler with hoses Fan Garret T2 Turbo and manifold, Also a T3 manifold if needed. OFAC ECU, MAP sensor and EDIS RST Loom and an XR2i EFI loom AFA ECU, Blue Samco Hose Kit. £700 Based in South Shields, Tyne & Wear Pictures and more details can be found HERE
  10. If you're using the entire floor pan of the donor car it would be advisable to find something of similar wheelbase to the Escort. 11. Well done on the feature, car looks fantastic.
  12. I always think with this kinda thing that they're not going to get anymore common, might not be worth fortunes but if they're cheap and you have space for them could be worth having.
  13. I've ordered a set of MLR ones from ebay after reading a few good reviews on various forums. Not very helpful as I can't comment on quality yet.
