I have a Jan 1980 colour chart here, It looks like Corsican Blue. and this is listed as Corsican blue in the brochure.

Don't be so sure, they made me park my Cortina right in front of the burger van (The one the otherside of the OSF stand hedge)and i ended up with people walking into my car, leaning against it and even letting the children stand on the bonnet! I often saw that parked on the driveway of a house near me, Sat there for quite a while, I often thought about knocking to see if it was for sale, It's looks great.

After selling my BMW 1602 last week I've been on the look out for something else to replace it, I've always been a big Ford fan so imagine my excitement on Sunday when i saw this come up for sale locally for only £995. http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C169982/ I rang the owner to be told about how it was his recently deceased dad's and needed to move it on, But sadly there was someone on their way round to view it and that he'd ring me back if it sold. 20 Minutes later i get a call to say that it had (unsurprisingly) sold, I was gutted but i hoped that at least someone else would get to enjoy it. So imagine my anger tonight when i see that it's now on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1969-FORD-CORTINA ... 4151547c34 Surprise surprise it was bought by a dealer who was after a quick buck, Got the right old hump now.

As the others have said, If it's free and you have the room then get it!, If the worse comes to the worse I'm sure a banger boy would still give you a good price for it (Not that i agree with banger racing classics).

I saw Blue Pearl earlier this year at a show
-
Trust me you can't!, Most stuff has to be ordered from Germany at a big cost and the last time i rang the BMW garage in Colchester and told the bloke my car was a BMW 1602 he ask me what one of these was!, Even when i explaned he still didn't have a clue!. Thank god that there's a speclaists in Norfolk which still stock OE parts for them!
-
Ah me old ram how are ya? Be nice i have a better look at your Mk 1. It's changed a bit since when it was sitting in the work's yard all them years ago! Got a clutch sorted btw in the end, paid £35 for a geniune one, cheaper then the £130 + vat Bmw wanted!

Some of you may of already seen this but over the last year or so I've started scanning and uploading all the road tests from the massive collection of car magazines i have (Yes i do need to get out more!). There are lots of old Ford tests so far with more to come, You need to be a member of Flickr to see the pages full size but it's free to sign up, when you are signed up and logged in just click the all sizes tab at the top of the picture. http://www.flickr.com/photos/triggersca ... llections/ A few of the best ones for OSF are: (Click name for link) Mk1 Escort Twin Cam Mk 1 Escort Mexico Mk2 Escort 1600 Sport Mk 3 Cortina 1600 GT Mk 1 Capri 3000E There are 100's more but they might be classed a bit new to be OSF (Mk3 Esc0rt etc) Oh and Mods if I've posted this in the wrong section then can you move please

Thank you all!

Who said escorts are getting cheap
dockertrigger replied to garyv6100e's topic in OLD SKOOL FORD CHAT
I guess it's people like that pricing them that much which is driving the prices up of Mk1's so that not everyone can afford a OSF anymore. -
It worth checking out www.tshirtgrill.com for Haynes style T-shirts and Hoodies, They have Mk 2 Escort, Mk4-5 Cortina, Mk 1 Capri and Sierra ones from only £8.99 which seems pretty fair. I've never used them mind but look o.k.

Hi Folks, Been signed up to this forum for a while but never really posted (Sorry). I'm Mike, I'm 29 and I'm from Ipswich, I've always had a big interest in old Fords from a very early age, My dad was always buying Fords so i guess i got it from him, I grew up with him having a Mk4 Cortina 2.0 S and a Cortina 1.6 Crusader as well as lots of Escort's. I do run a old car but sadly not a Ford, It's a 1975 BMW 1602, It makes me laugh that when they was new my BMW would of cost more then any Escort at the time but now you can buy the BMW for more than half the price of a Mk 2 2 door!, Which is the reason i haven't got a Escort which is what i wanted. Anyway thanks for reading!.
