uh oh! sounds like my dad with my car. he always moans its got no power steering but after about 15mins he has it bombing down tracks and roads and oves it.then climbs in his yank tank jeep and goes all girly. i hope the cortina is ok!

mine is a 1980 so it has to have one but ive seen people get away with it. no point in taking it off because its too much hassle and with the motorway mileage i do id rather have a foglight than a lorry in my boot.

well at the time the cortina was patched to hell with dodgy welding done by the former keeper, leaked like a siz through the roof, and the engine was dodgy. the scimitar was reliable and looked in good nick apart from a key scratch down the passenger side which my dad sprayed himself in the garage. id artaher have the 'tina but at the time back in 1992 it was the sensible thign for him to do. the 'tina is still around fully restored.the scimitar he part exchanged for a fiat panda 4x4 then it was given as compensation to a guy when his car was nicked from teh garage and that was the last of the scimatar we heard but the cortina is still going strong!
