  1. I do like this Capri, and those seats are like new, good luck with it, it deffo will make a lovely motor.
  2. Thanks a lot Guys, my next job is half shaft out on N/S to sort the oil leak and then time for a good run.
  3. What a cracking looking Sport, i want it to sit next to my yellow cabbie and Harrier lol.
  4. I will come with you lol, and that green mk1 looks mint.
  5. PMSL nice reply m8, you could win the cibies if yours is the highest bid on the bay lol
  6. I agree, you have two great looking motors there.
  7. Lol at minder, did anyone ever find out what escort model it was ? Well today i decided to remove the cibies for good, and they are now on the bay, and i replaced them with ford spotlamps, can you see what else has gone lol. i need to replace the square number plate now as well.
  8. Your Car looks great, and what a shine, pity about the sport, that was a cool car too..
  9. Up on the bay now mate http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Cibie-Super-Oscar ... 4aa57dea39
  10. OMG i would need some pampers on to go for a run in that beast lol
  11. Thanks for the comments guys, i agree finding the right overriders is a pain especially considering the car should already have them lol, i think they were prob removed at some time to make room for the cibies. There is a full set of 4 of the bay at the min Mad Mex with a day to go and presently at £128 plus the postage, im looking for around £175 for mine, and for that you get the 4 cibies, the covers and the 2 x alloy quick release mounting brackets, i would guess postage would be around £25 on top of that, if postage is cheaper than £25 i will refund the difference. I am putting them up on ebay tomorrow, so you could always just bid on them instead if you like. There are some really smart cars on here, looks like i have my work cut out to get mine nice like those. NeilT, the Harriers were available in only silver (500 made) or white (1000 made) as far as i know.
  12. Thats a tidy mk1 you have m8, even the body lines look spot on. I would keep it standard.
  13. Nice motor you have there, it looks very original, and is that an original metal number plate i see there.
  14. Tidy collection you have there, why are you storing the escort, it looks well in the pics, at least the lawn mower doesnt need using lol,
  15. This is my Harrier, the cibies are coming off and are going to be sold, as im putting the normal spotlamps back on, im looking for some overriders front and rear if anyone has some spare ones lol. It passed its MOT last week, so happy days ahead, long term im hoping to do a resto on it as its getting ready for one, i hope you like it and thanks for looking. [/img]
  16. Ok will do, but if you want to see most of them, click on my website link. The mk1 and mk2 pics are not great quality, but there again they are donkeys years old now lol. I am still trying to find where most of my mk1 and mk2 pics are, the loft must be hiding some of them...
  17. Like others have said, it depends on the car, what you are spraying on the car, the number of coats it will need because some paints are a lot thinner than others, the finish that you want, the list goes on, as a minimum, i would start with 3ltrs on a base colour and some metallics will eat 5ltrs.
  18. Hi, just thought i would introduce myself to you all, what a big forum this is. I have owned every escort model from the mk1 upwards, (god that makes me sound old), I have worked on quite a few as well, the reason i joined is because of my love and passion for the mk1 and mk2 escorts, i have owned quite a few of these, but stupidly let every one of them escape over the years, i aim to buy either a mk1 or 2 with the intention of doing a resto on it. I look forward to chatting with you all as and when..
