  4. lol they took the printers off the internet access pc's and they charged me 40 for each boarding pass I wanted to print.
  5. East Oxford, Iffley Road. I ride the bus these days!
  6. The exchange rate is a killer... Been pretty fun so far, staying in Oxford - going to Pitt Rivers next week. Missed being over here!
  7. I saw one OSF on the M4 while taking National Express. What gives, I thought there'd be more of ya when I got here! It was a red Mk1 Fiesta, anyone from here maybe? Was about 3 days ago.
  8. I recently had a bout with a Nigerian bidder on there, they claimed they were buying an item that was set as "buy it now" for their nephew, but then when the sellers details didn't match I knew something was up. They tried to get their disputes filed almost the same day they bid, and sent in two payments from seperate addresses. Paypal and eBay both ended up charging me to relist the item, and put $600 of my checking account money on "hold" because of the scammers requests to credit them back. Nothing was taken from the account, but it delayed the availability of my funds for about a week and a half while they "investigated" And seriously, there isn't much you can do to actually talk to someone. eBay sucks now.
  9. Is nice, but where the hell are the darn printers to print my boarding pass! &*$%#$^ Anyone out there close by and up at this hour?
  10. Okay those photos spur my interest in the Fiesta. Specifically the blue one. Nice filters! Looks like Top Gear!
  11. I just posted a bit of info on the Goodwood Revival - They need volunteers for this years event and I posted details as well. Just wondering if anyone on the forum might be interested in helping out, and in exchange you will get free access to the event care of the Richard Burns foundation.
  12. Anyone interested in volunteering for FREE access to the Goodwood Revival? 18th – 20th September, 2009 I just got finished talking to one of the folks at the Richard Burns foundation. He said that they are in need of volunteers for the Goodwood Revival in Chichester, West Sussex PO18 0PX. They need volunteers to give a couple of hours or so of their day to assist with fund raising at the event, usually at the end of the day to collect with buckets at exits, but there are other jobs. In return they will offer FREE access to the event so that you can enjoy the rest of your day. - See http://www.goodwood.co.uk/site/content/revival/ for details. Alternatively you can contact them directly here: volunteer@richardburnsfondation.com I will be in Oxford so I might actually make it over to this one. It would be really cool to meet some of you and see some OSFs in person / See the other Old Skool cars at the event!
  13. Can you get some videos for Youtube of the Convoy?
  14. I don't want to post what could be considered spam here - There is a really interesting contest to win 1,000,000 flight miles and the odds are pretty good. If anyone wants info or to join my group to beat the 80 people that are in the lead PM me. I'm headed to the UK in September, but I've been trying to get about 25,000 more miles so I can come see some of the OSF events later next year.
  15. Get the Stig to test it! Lol look at that body-roll! Not bad for a almost 100 year old model?

  21. Personally, It may or may not have happened. My feelings on this are due to growing up in a Cold War era - all be it the tail end - United States, and a pre/post 9/11 United States. (Or 11/9 for you folks.) If you look at the kind of budget we had back in the 1950's and some of the books that showed the Aircraft in the 50's and 60's - These things were HUGE! (I remember looking at a lot of the remaining of books from the 1950's and 60's in my public school library - probably a testament to the fact that they also spent more money on education in the 50's and 60's then any decade since, and I guess it would also qualify as propaganda too...) And if you go to the RAF Museum in London there are several Cold War examples of Aircraft. They are some of the biggest things ever to fly. So NASA has also been around and had huge budgets back then, but I think the possibility of having a moon landing cover story is possible too. I don't know, I'm up in the air about it. Knowing what I have learned since 9/11 about some of the cover stories about the invasion of Iraq and the fumbled CIA operation "Rock Stars", the fact that discovering the Titanic was actually a cover story for a Russian submarine that Robert Ballard was also looking for at the time. All this stuff is true, you can even look it up. Many of the so called peaceful shuttle missions were actually, study missions and spy satellites to check out Russian and other countries equipment in space. And the fact that some how George Bush ran the country here for the past eight years really shakes my faith in the USA. That being said, if we did land on the moon, how come we have not been back? Why are our space shuttles falling apart? Could it all have been to Psychologically beat the Soviets? If there was a problem with a tether experiment in one of the earlier shuttle missions and too much "radiation" for the shuttle to go out further into orbit, how the hell did these guys survive going far past the radiation belt in the 1960's? Then again - People, much like the cars back then were built a lot tougher... I can't think of a single American that I know personally that can fix or build something on their own like my grandfathers did, or one that doesn't shop at Walmart.
  22. Keep an eye here - http://www.springsgov.com/units/pikespeak/ Not sure if you will see any cars zoom by, but I figure it's worth a look!
  23. Pike's Peak is happening this weekend about 1200 miles from my neck of the woods. I just thought I would post some videos - I know it's not OSF but check out the Fiestas that they have got over here for this! Now I know again - it's not OSF but does anyone have any clips of an OSF doing the Pike's Peak? I would to have loved to show up with an Mk1 Fiesta to this with a big Spoiler on back for a laugh.
