  10. After having got fed up with the constand backfireing, running like crap, driving like it on 5 cylinders till 4000rpm and about 9mpg normal driving, i have taken decision to take my mk3 capri off the road for lil while. was going to just do up my engine get it running proper again and mabye make some few engine mods untill................................ just went to purley cruise in croydon and bloke there with his capri but it had 770BHP and 800pound of tourque V8 supercharge beautiful piece of machinery and as my freinds and i dribbled over this car i got talking with the the owner Ray Harris (not one of the H.P.E lot, but a top bloke!!) and after about 2 hours in deep discussion has made me think that V6 is just not worth it! so its V8 power iam looking for now going to go for a ford 302 engine and a american T5 manual box if any one knows of ones going for resonable please let me know, brilliant thing is is he has loads of spares so thinking that saving up and gettin the best of both worlds my capri and V8. anyone else got any advice/ contacts/ tips for me ?? thanks rob

  15. welded diffs rule!!!!! i have one on my 2.8 mk3 capri, i love it! a welded diff rarley breaks but it took 4 months of pure abuse to snap one of the diffs, but the half shafts can break alot i have done 2 so far, one was from slapping a curb the other was from drifiting a roundabout, but its not too much of problem to change, and if one dose snap you can still nurse it home! they are gr8 fun for donuts and drifiting! just watch it in the wet, and get used to it b4 taking bends to fast! but go for it m8 i have never looked back! as the guys have said it dose judder a bit on lock and when you get it welded make sure u get it done really well!! lots of weld and support so it can hold on!
