As Im now only living 2 miles away from work I've just put my 24v capri back on the road and now using it as a daily runner! Loving every minute of it

Wonder how hard it'd be to make some up... anyone had a crack at it?

The tinted ones i do think are proper ugly but i think the grills would suit the look Im going for... i know they're hard to come by, kicking myself for not buying some when i had the chance. Was hoping someone here might have a set lying around that they'd forgotten about and wouldn't mind parting with. (maybe just wishful thinking)

Anyone know where i might find a set of those headlight covers/grills for a capri? Seen a few cars with them on but trying to find some for sale is proving tricky...

Mine don't go all the way back to quite the right position when i turn them off... i switch them to the intermittent position when they're still going then turn them off once they've stopped in the right place.

i think it was 2004... was on earlier today on dave. there was 2 on and i know one of them was 2004 but i cant remember if it was this one or the other one.

yer it looks awesome going round the track. the modern stuff just looks so tame and boring.

those last couple of dump valves at the end do kinda sound like hes just sneezing....

Yer they can cause some nasty damage, I know someone who had their car completely written off by one. I was comparitively lucky, at least bumpers are available and not too expensive. It could've been a lot worse if it had hit the wing or something else expensive.

I was out for a little drive in the sunshine yesterday after work, went round a corner and the little b*stard shot out on to the road straight into the front of the capri. It wrecked the bumper, took out the indicator and dented the front valance. Then it went into a vauxhall combo going the other way and took out his bumper and put a hole in his radiator before promptly getting up and running off! Fortunately I was only doing about 35 but I wonder how many cars are written off every year because of collisions with deer and other animals.... watch out!

Put the capri through the MOT today when i suddenly realised it ran out 2 weeks ago (oops), and she passed! Found out the leaf springs are a bit bent though, thought she looked to be sitting a bit lower at the back recently! So there's another job to add to the list along with the full service, front discs, quickshift kit and properly sorting the front indicator.... Ah well student loan comes in soon, happy days!
