had one on mine coming up to 2 years now, 2.9 capri, driven every day, (until afew weeks ago for moajor mods) yeah it skips when parking, but above 10 mph you wouldnt notice, and tryes do get eaten, but im still not sure if thats cause im addicted burnouts, or the scrubbuing in the corners ive never had the problem of understeer tho, just scary to drive when the back steps out at 70 in the wet, but in the dry ideal, give it a try, if its not for you, get another axle for 100 or so notes, or save up for an lsd...

wow, quite a respone! enjoying the input! erm, as far as selling and getting another, erm, its abit of a wreck at the mo (hedge) but got another shell ready so when i re shell it shall do the engine change or whatever. cossie v6 was a consideration, but shyed away from it for the fact spares seem to cost a bomb, and correct me if im wrong, but they are very rare engines with minimal tuning parts available, since they were only in one model (as far as i know) Nitrous is cool, but the power is not always there, unles you can afford to refill the bottle every day So looking like it has got to be V8! any idea how much you can grab a half decent windsor or cleveland lump for? already got this 4.6 but rover engines never seem to fill me with confidence... Hi all! i have a mk3 capper, curently 2.9, but have a lust for moar poweeerrrr! anyways, bit of a general question, best engine swap for an old ford? best power/torque for price, dont mind being sacraligious, ill go jap or anything, always been one for controversey. Got a budget of about £1300, 1500 at a push, was thinking zeeetec turbo, or turbo my current 2.9, or have a 4.6 v8 now, but thats where the money will come from, wayyy to many options! helpp!

Hi all! not sure if this is in the right place but sod it, got a 4.6 Rpi rover v8 available and want to stick it in the capper, i also have a rwd LT77 box, however the engine is currently on an auto 4wd, what clutch/flwheel would i need to mate the engine to the lt77 box from an Sd1? would i use an Sd1 flywheel and then any 9.5'' clutch? i know very little about the rover scene, so any help would be greatly appreciated... Thanks in advance.

Kinda had a slight 'incident' in my auto mobile earlier in the week, resulting in an egg shaped wheel the current ones are OZ slots of an old series 1 tvr, and rare as rocking horse shit, or no one bothers selling them, either way, im not enjoying riding round on a 1 fiesta alloy! but cant for the life of me decide what to replace the wheels with! 15's are ideal, i seem to have cornered the market in 15 inch tyres, and need to be at least 6.5'' wide, pref 7's! any ideas welcome! ive put a pic up too if any ones dandy on the old photoshoppy... also, any 1 happen to have a rubber engine mount for a 2.9 engine? same as 2.8 i assume? kinda broke thaht too... Hello theree, im new on this here forum! not a great fan of technology (carbs and points all the way!) Anyway, 18, at uni doing motorsport engineering. Got a mk3 pri which i have been in love with for nearly 2 years now... even if it may look like it was painted with a brush and doesnt go down great with the fembots! Had a fair few pintos in it since i owned it, but insurance runs out in a week or so so its go go go on the grafting front! i pride the fact that ive done everything myself, from the addmittedly poor spray job to changing cams, axles, clutches, making gear nobs gearbox mounts blah blah blah, oh fitting the windscreen defeated me and my old man tho! but if u dont give it a go youll never learn! Ill try and put a few pics up if i can fathom it out... Comencing on la V8 conversion as soon as it is off ze road, should be good for a grin, and going for spray job round 3 (the 1st one was better than 2nd tho so fook knows whatll happen...) Anyway, if youve read this far then congratulations. Thanks for coming!
