  1. damm wish i came on this forum before going! didnt realise everyone was meeting up. i live pretty local the beaulieu and went. was a real good turn out think they said 225 cars. was some real nice motors there! didnt get any pics though. apparently only the second year they done this! anyone have any favorite cars? the lotus that won was lush! but wouldve been nice for the mk1 escort to win i think!

  10. What do you mean by too closed? I've got a brand new 32/36 dgv like on the 2.0l.
  11. How does it make a difference with the throttle opened? Not critising just curious because wouldn't the valves be shut anyway?

  13. i just stick abit of lead replacement in every 5 or 6 tanks! it worked out so expensive when i looked at having it down and could see very little benefit!

  16. I have a 1.6 pinto in my capri. After having stronger firing on no.1 and 3 i thought id get my hands on a compression tester after changing plugs and leads to see if it was that but nothing. Anyway the readings i got are strange but seem oddly correct! No.1 i got 125psi n0.2 90psi no.3 125psi again (thinking ok somthing was wrong with no.2) no.4 90psi this seems really odd too me is anyone able to shed any light on this?! thanks, Stu
  17. Its so much better than points!! worth the £30 easy to connect up! but dont make the same mistake i did if your rev counter is powered from pulses from the coil i didnt realise now have to rewire it back up! but yeah apart from that the engines running so much better!

  19. the carbs only done a couple hundred miles! but not to sure what fuel pump i have ill have a look! cheeers for the advice!
  20. ive fitted a weber 32/36 to my 1600 pinto and i think the carb just keeps flooding because the fuel pump, has anyone else had this problem? just want to confirm this before i put in a fuel return! im getting almost no power low down and and it splutters when starting up and when the engine stalls.

  22. so what do i have to do to fit them? im having problems findin the post on headlight conversion do i have to make an adaptor plate or can i just take the lenses and reflectors out then slot the bmw ones in? where did you get yours from? cheers.
