put a brace from the down pipe to the starter bolt.... i've had that about 4 times last year nice one hux,ill have a look at doing that

well worth declaring all your mods. Few years ago my mate got rear ended whilst parked up in an old mk2 xr-2 he was cut out of the car & passenger aswell as the car folded up. Car got taken away & put in compound where the insurance company went & looked at it,he got fook all as it had different wheels,lowered,tinted lights,strut brace,rear cage,big boom box in the boot as they said this was modified & affected the original structure & strength of the car. Aload of the round ones maybe but if it was all declared it would of cost him another £100 & he was on fo a payout of £5000 all in all.

So rang greg for a quote today,was greated by a bloke that runs a drives an old skool ford & has a very genuine interest in them. Explained abit to him about the cover required & he came back with a quote that was alot better than my previous insurer. Needless to say i will be taking this policy up with them next month. just had my diff rebuilt as it was fooked,my plate type diff you can turn 1 wheel only as it locks like a welded diff. Mine was making alot of noise on over-run & it was the pinion out of mesh from what i could gather. My own fault as i did'nt have it set up when i changed the oil seal.
